I played all halo games last gen while primarily gaming on 360. Halo is still one of my favorite series of all.
I played the ps4 alpha, I'll give my 2 cent. Halo 4 was missing something from the gameplay, story, environments and execution. It wasn't bad but it wasn't bungie. That said it still had those core building blocks that bungie built, literally.
To put it very simply, destiny took everything that made halo great and added 1000x more to it. Story, gameplay, environments and no doubt countless things that still await. The safest comparison would be to say halo was a demo and destiny is the full trilogy.
Is it like halo? Well, yes but it's more accurate to say it's like bungie. The things that are similar are elements that work. Natural progressions in what bungie has been building for decades. Call halo the black of outer space with destiny being everything in it making up our universe.

Lol are you insane a demo? There probably will never be a master chief again in gaming dude. I'd call it WoW with guns. Has more world of Warcraft than it has halo but it doesn't makes it a bad game, looks incredible to be fair.

It seems people just don't think about it as the same developer. It's like people are hating or jealous of Bungie's previous success or they total forget that they CREATED halo from the ground up!
