I don't get the borderlands references. I don't like either of them, but destiny I think is amazing. I couldn't help but feel bored the entire time playing 1&2, and I didn't like how any of the weapons felt, but Destiny felt like the complete opposite of that.

Borderlands had a lot of issues for me. I didn't like the characters, the art design, the shooting handled like someone duct taped a waffle iron to the end. Also having to loot all the things got old really fast. I guess people just draw a comparison since you can see the hit damage and there are levels&such. They don't seem to have a wide spectrum of games they have played so it's kind of depressing.
