I only play Halo, but plan to switch to Destiny cold turkey when it comes out. My only worry is that it won't be ENOUGH like Halo. It appears to me that Bungie has sort of merged the story based gaming with the online multiplayer gaming. That worries me. I have never completed any campaign except for one of the Marathon games. Probably the first one. They really hold no interest for me so I hope Destiny will have something like matchmaking and multiplayer playlists that I can jump into immediately without completing some silly story BS first. Otherwise I'm going to be very, very lost.
I am the worst player in the history of Halo.
You gave to go through some main missions. Bungie only does this so that you're more used to the game and won't die every single time you go onto multiplayer.

You have to unlock competitive multiplayer. They said it doesn't take very long. Maybe a few hours. That way you'll have the equipment and abilities you need to fight on par with other guardians as you fight and level up in the arena. You'll have an idea of how things work. After you unlock it once, you won't have to unlock it ever again. So if you Wana take a level 1 into competitive mode You can but it's not recommended. Hopefuly that doesn't steer you away. I also love halo games btw, and usually also hop into some slayer for thrills before I touch campaign lol. A habit. But jumping into a match in Destiny to soon is the equivalent of rolling into a team rockets match with a pistol while everyone but you has an overshield that doesn't degenerate on its own. Only...you can't pick up anyone else's gun lol. Kind of a for sure loss.
best halo analogy I could think of
Thanks for the info. I'm a very bad gamer and usually have a lot of trouble completing campaigns, but I'll give it a shot and see if I can make it through the minimum requirements.

Don't worry. It does.
