Never done it before until Mass Effect 3. I made one $3 purchase of a spectre pack and got a Claymore shotgun. Seeing as we were having trouble completing silvers in the beta it was totally worth it. Of course I know people who have spent more than the value of the game to get worthless junk. I was content with a single purchase.

Only cosmetic items in Path of Exile. I would never play a game that was pay2win, let alone spend money on game changing items.

I just bought the all parts pack for Armored Core Verdict Day. I'm pretty happy with decision. One Verdict Day was on sale for 7 bucks and the parts pack was 5. It unlocks 194 items and I'm just starting out. For me this wasn't about an edge in multiplayer. I'm clawing through the story mode and I have more fun in the Workshop just fine tuning mechs to deal with each increasingly brutal mission. So it saved me a lot of time and I can still enjoy the game while not getting overly frustrated by lack of diversity because I can't kill the indestructible hopping AC who can't shut up in cut scene.

2 RepliesWell, only if there's something I really want (and I really give a shit about the game). Examples: I bought the Halo map packs (all of them...), except for Halol 4. I bought some Gold and one of the Founder's Packs for World of Tanks: 360 Edition I've purchased Car Packs for Forza 5. What I don't do is purchase things like in the shop for Ascend: Hand of Khul or WoW, where you're purchasing a single item. With the Gold and the Founder's Pack for WoT, I got a shitload of stuff with it, therefore it was well worth it. But paying the same price (about $30 USD) for a single sword or other item doesn't make any sense to me.

I am guilty of spending extra point in mass effect 3s multiplayer but that's the only one if ever done. Spending money in free to play games is retarded and you should feel bad for giving them you money. ie WSOP and happy wars
