I don't like it because, in my experience, the trade-off of stealth to speed isn't as fair as some people say it is. Even if you do know where the other teams's flag carrier is, if they can move as fast as you can, it can often be difficult to chase them down. I'll use Orbital as an example. If the flag carrier is halfway to their base and juggling all the way, it doesn't matter if you know where they are, it's almost impossible to catch them and stop them. They most as fast as you do, those hallways have a lot of boxes for cover, and if you die, you get sent all the way back to your base. Plus, on that map, you pretty much always know where the flag carrier is anyway: one of those two hallways.
I realize that this is by no means applicable on all maps; it's just an example of why the trade-off of stealth to speed is not always even.
