What’s funny is that most of the people who voted that it’s not worth it will be playing it day one.
Same as it ever was.

You may find yourself… Whining about a video game haha.
-
And you may ask yourself....... Why do I keep playing? What can I say, I saw "Same as it ever was" and 'Once in a Lifetime' popped into my head. Or should I say, "popped into my Talking Head?" 😜
That joke was lame but I don't care, I'm running with it.
It’s awesome not lame I love the “let’s have a serious discussion about Bungie and D2” threads. Guys who created accounts over a decade ago that continue trying to jam the square peg into the round hole. I wonder why it doesn’t fit? Call the gang in because we have a mystery on our hands haha.
-
Now I'm picturing some sort of international symposium or conference of experts from around the world sitting down to really dig deep into the follies in 'Destiny 2' perpetrated by Bungie, like for cancer research or law enforcement. "Let's have a serious discussion about the impact of the new system as it applies to weapons and Exotics. Please welcome our guests panel, some random anonymous players from an internet forum............" followed by a smattering of applause..........

Edited by The Hermit IX: 6/12/2025 6:41:13 AMThat’s exactly how they act over a game that’s now over 11 years old. It’s as hysterical as it is sad. The “end of the game”, “get your refund”, “another slap in the face” and “why we lost trust” threads are absurd at this point. Anyone playing long enough should know better. Always good for a chuckle though.

Yeah, I appreciate the "I'm refunding my pre-order" posts the most since I'd almost wager real money that many of them will simply be getting it again when it drops in a month. I suppose it's their feeble attempt at a "Damn the Man!! ✊" moment or something.
-
I buy it a few days before it drops. I have no expectations anymore honestly. I know what the game is at this point and I get my money’s worth.
-
I wasn't particularly worried about when I got it (I'm sure I would've at some point) because there're a handful of other games out/due out this year I'm interested in that take precedence over EoF since it'll be around for a while. But since my brother went in on a pre-order and we have gameshare or whatever it's called, I figure I may as well have a go of it next month.
-
I’ll play D2 until I don’t have fun playing. It’s a cheap hobby. I’m looking forward to Daywalker dropping at one point. I hope it drops this fall.

I'll play it.......when I feel like it. I don't have a compulsion to max out my character and wrap everything up within weeks of a new content drop. In the meantime, I'm playing 'Cyberpunk,' looking forward to both 'Death Stranding 2' and 'Ghost of Yotei' later this year, and there are more than a few other games I'm waiting for to hit the right price in a PS Store sale I want to pick up. There is no shortage of games that've caught my eye in the past year or so; guess you could call it "an embarrassment of riches." I just need the damn "riches" to get all of them. 😕
