A lot of people are missing the point.
2.3m dollars is not a lot of money nor is it a lot of money to spend on cars.
The issue is that Parsons was on BaT and won 20 auctions, and likely participated in at least 50 auctions. BaT is a stock market where the commodity traded are cars. Gearheads spend hundreds of hours on there browsing and monitoring the market for cars.
Likely Parsons was wasting a ton of time on BaT instead of working. Wouldn’t be surprising if he was sitting in a meeting with BaT open and shopping.
If you’re the CEO of a failing company you don’t have time to be on BaT. If your company is doing great then reap your rewards on BaT.
And, finally, none of the above accounts for the enormous time sink that it takes to maintain and store cars. Even if you hire people to do all the scut work, it still takes an inordinate amount of time to manage. Owning 20 cars is a job itself.
There’s nothing wrong with acquiring wealth. Especially if you’re working hard. But Parson’s time on BaT suggests that he was hardly working.

Trying to justify greed and bad management just makes you sound silly.

You really are a moron that can’t read and comprehend. The fact that he was on BaT as extensively as he was. The fact that he had a “hobby” that is all consuming, is the point. He cared more about his hobby than doing his job. Ergo he was likely fiddling with cars when he should’ve been managing Bungie. I.e poor management. Don’t write to me. I do not tolerate stupidity well. Normally, I ignore your type of special need, but I’m standing in line. So thank you at least for the entertainment.
