3 RepliesEdited by A485258: 8/2/2024 7:23:06 PMA lot of people are missing the point. 2.3m dollars is not a lot of money nor is it a lot of money to spend on cars. The issue is that Parsons was on BaT and won 20 auctions, and likely participated in at least 50 auctions. BaT is a stock market where the commodity traded are cars. Gearheads spend hundreds of hours on there browsing and monitoring the market for cars. Likely Parsons was wasting a ton of time on BaT instead of working. Wouldn’t be surprising if he was sitting in a meeting with BaT open and shopping. If you’re the CEO of a failing company you don’t have time to be on BaT. If your company is doing great then reap your rewards on BaT. And, finally, none of the above accounts for the enormous time sink that it takes to maintain and store cars. Even if you hire people to do all the scut work, it still takes an inordinate amount of time to manage. Owning 20 cars is a job itself. There’s nothing wrong with acquiring wealth. Especially if you’re working hard. But Parson’s time on BaT suggests that he was hardly working.

He dumped cash into the cars to dodge inflation and taxes.

2 RepliesHe didn't spend the company's money on cars lol. What he did do is spread what money the company had far too thin on poetic whims and magic beans

5 RepliesNot his company so unrelated

If you wanna make the big bucks then become a CEO and you can spend your money however you see fit. Bungies CEO was not the sole cause for the failure of The Final Shape. That fellow guardian falls on everyone at the studio which is why Sony stepped in to stop the bleeding.

10 RepliesThat's the least of his shortfalls. How he spends his personal money is really none of your concern.
-
21 RepliesWhy does it matter what people do with their income? The actual company is going downhill and not making enough profit to keep people on. They’re 2 different things. I’m not sure why people think a CEO’s income should go to employees.

It is Sony money. They have agreement for some reasons. Look like Pete don’t care and look blame on other management or workers. But one who control the money is Pete. To be honest, I like bungie who make games so great and Sony don’t want this to die. I am hoping Pete leaves soon. It just completely mess right now.

2 RepliesWhile he should resign i dont get how his personal life relates to the company. If the company goes under his life is literally ruined he would lose everything. Thats why CEOs get so much, if you are just a dev if the company goes under you will be fine you just gotta get a new job Now a CEO can lose everything and would have a hard time finding a new job since who would wanna hire a failed CEO. I get people dont understand buisness but personal/public life are different

2 RepliesIt's his money why shouldn't he spend it. Whilst yes he clearly doesn't know how to run an healthy company in the end he has the right to spend his money however he likes.
