Destination you use most
Anything useful on these worlds outside of pale heart/dlc activities?
For me its been moon > altars of sorrow for phantasmal fragments / glimmer
(just had 7 spots and chose the oldest non-ritual planets)

It’s hands down my favorite patrol zone, favorite activities and I can farm two different exotics with random rolls while I’m there. Dreaming City is a great destination and the EDZ holds a special place too but they aren’t in the same level as the Pale Heart.

Cosmodrome - Lost Sectors have great add density and it can be fun to see the new Guardians frolicking about 😁

Outside of the Pale heart where I can test whatever I want I always go back to the DC where I felt D2 peaked in terms of having that spark that kept me hooked.

Cosmodrome for Gunsmith bounties. The Lost Sector with the Servitor drops hvy brix & I know the areas inside out. Qik ez bounty farming. The only place I don't go is Numurumba. After Litefail & it's associated quests, I have zero drive to deal with the overturned mess & those Thresher one shots 🥴😆

(bump) From the votes - I guess I must ask... so then what is there to do at the Cosmodrome or just nice patrol? Dreaming City has probably the best world loot of the group... too bad Europa's weapons were never relevant. The moon auto > Arc Logic can be fun. -

It was Dreaming City and Throne World, but that's because I was going through the Forsaken and Witch Queen campaigns. Oh yeah, also Europa because of the Tier challenges. I've completed those now so I'm sure Neptune will become my most visited locale for the next month. That said I see myself still returning to the first two regularly for the foreseeable future.

When you come back to the surface and see the beautiful blue Earth in the starry sky you really feel what your Guardian is sacrificing and fighting for.

1 ReplyEDZ for me. There's always a public event active somewhere for glimmer farming. It's nostalgic for me too because my IRL friends bought vanilla D2 & we would "-blam!- around in the EDZ" when we were waiting for someone to get on. How much glimmer do you get from alters?

Edz. Easy place to knock off gunsmith bounties, test weapon recoil, and do a patrol to finish off clan xp for the week.

Not as often now, but the first thing I typically did after a reset was to grab bounties from Banshee and head to the Cosmodrome to knock them out quickly before getting into the next thing.

Moon is just the most generally useful, but you can substitute most of it for Dreaming City (just less glimmer) Europa and Cosmodrome are great for XP prep but not much else. Idk what people use the others for with any regularity…

I do nessus and the vex lost sector the orrery a lot. Lately ive been doing a lot of the landing in the pale heart just doing the rounds for exotic class items and overthrows.

Nessus,the center fast travel area (lost sector)for quick Failsafe and Gunsmith bounties.One run through and they’re usually done.
