Matchmaking for vets

I don't understand the algorithm for finding balanced teammates/opponents. Never play trials and barely can stand to stay in a match of any pvp nowadays. I get in there solo. Get to 5 wins (both losses used). Load up my 6th match. I get the most lost inexperienced guardians to ever walk the cosmodrome. My opposing team are conditional finality/auto mains. Where's the balance? I have a 1.0 kd atm. I didn't always. Years ago I was very good at comp/6v6/scrims. I can't hope to carry ppl thru flawless and I can't understand how the algorithm believes a better match of all solo players is to put the 3 lowest KD's against the 3 highest. There must be an issue with how it's equating what the skill levels are of people who have played this game for too long. Either only taking into account their best stats from all previous seasons. Or not accounting accurately for player inactivity across multiple seasons. Bc ppl do not play this game like they used to. And what they can expect if they return is to be able to play like they never left. What are the players who were good and will likely never be that good again supposed to do? The only way I've seen someone's matchmaking be tolerable is to start a new account and I want to be able to play with my characters that I've grinded for 9 years now Ruined my entire night. Three guardians at 2.0kd vs three 1.0kd guardians is not what I strive to call balanced or even fair/fun. Absolutely had no chance of winning. Won't be doing trials again. Wasted time. Wasted effort. Wasted money really
