The difference between an Adept weapon and its normal counterpart is irrelevant in the hands of most players, even those that get to the lighthouse. I think there benefit from improving basics like positioning, aim, reactions, teamwork, grants you MUCH higher yield than an adept mod. Adept weapons are fun and all, but they are probably not going to make much difference for someone who isn't already easily getting to the lighthouse. Coming from someone who doesn't go to the lighthouse.
