PS4 is definitely nearing the end of its lifespan. One thing I can say is they've done an excellent job of keeping the game playable and looking good on PS4. It hasn't even been a year since I got a PS5. But as more and more people move to the current stuff the pvp there is probably going to start getting a little janky.
