YEEEEEES it has to be retroactive though. I'd probably quit the game if Bungie decided to not do that for my current adept rolls.

"Wow this is such a good thing!" >quits game lol I feel you but I'm also down for new versions of Trials guns with better perks and Origins. Especially since once you hit the godroll set of perks, its yours forever, no more FOMO and no more grinding unless a new update looks tasty.
