Most places do not have the orbs so you actually thought it would soooooo coool and awesome for someone to swing 1 time ever minute or more???
WTF is wrong with you people...you all are loke a 90 year old pocking out the rad and hip close for thier 15 year old grandkid...got no -blam!- clue or business doing it but do so anyway
Yea lol. Pretty Bad when 343's Halo Infinite brand new grapple mechanic is better in every single way than Bungie's.(ok, calling it new is silly)
I think the big Difference is 343 actually tries to listen, and actually still wants to make a good game.
Bungie (misLeadrship) considers it win/win if they lower the bar and people still buy.

LOL, not really.

Dude.... Doom Eternal's "Meathook" is better than Strand's... And it requires enemies or "Hook spots" to work as well. The ammount of mobility that Meathook gives you is insane, while strand is reeeeeally lackluster.

Lolol 343 is just as TRASH if not worse than Bungo. Look how Halo Infinite launched. Remember how MCC was for it to finally be functional and operational 3 years later?? I do. And that was horrible. HI didn't even come out with Forge, CoOp day 1! Wild.

I played an Xbox Insider preview of the single player story rebuild for Halo Infinite (within the last year and a half I think). In that version the grapple feels intuitive, easy to control and fun. So... way better than the Bungie strand version. To me that is crazy. I have not liked a single Halo released by 343. But as much as I don't like the 343 Halo, I at least feel confident 343 staff want to make a good game. With Bungie's latest release, it's the opposite! Bungie didn't accidentally make a crap product, they frakkin did it deliberately!!! Bungie wants to deliver a bare minimum product! That is unforgivable.

Plus with the Latest that's been happening over there at the Studios for Halo. With the Head lady leaving (I forgot her name) I can only hope it gets better for them. Indeed, I haven't liked any 343 halo since they took over. This was probably the only Halo that threw the spark back in it for me. Only time will tell. Just hope it's not like MCC long hahaha

Ill skip the complicated descriptions, and just say I did not feel pulled into an awesome story in an epic environment. The rebuild felt tons better. Still some things I thought were dumb or sub-optimal, but I was happy with the improvements (surprisingly). I think game designers and Gamers need find ways to communicate better. • The devs need to stop trying to spin every narrative into 'profitable' propaganda and they need to stop lying! • We Gamers need to learn to govern our passions a bit better. Of course that will be way easier if Developers stop Lying. Bottom Line Though: If you don't LOVE Gaming and feel driven to make the best games you can? GTFO of game design. We won't keep paying jerks that disrespect Gamers AND The Gaming Industry.

I feel you on the grapple mechanism. Was definitely a REALLY good addition to HI. I was skeptical at first, but getting to use it in the campaign and pvp showed how awesome it was. From grabbing items, to enemies and allies. The cool down isn't that bad even when you miss the shot! Like 1 or 2 second delay? Insanely good. Bungo did drop the ball on the grapple. Maybe a few more Strand orbs spread out around Zones or a cool down buff would be dope.

Gameplay wise, Infinite is one of the best Halo games

It is now somewhat with a come back. But they definitely dropped the ball at launch. Was good for 2 months or so but got stale quick in the beginning.
