Yeah no if you actually learn how to build and not just use “meta” then you would know that there’s more than just 3-4 exotic armor that is “end game” viable.
“Warlocks have around 14 end game viable exotics to use, Titans have around 16 end game viable exotics to use, and Hunters have around 18 end game viable exotics to use.”
This to me just sounds like you don’t know how to build properly and only go off of what people say are “meta”. I’m not saying that they don’t need to update some of the exotics. They most definitely do but don’t act like there’s only 3-4 exotics end game viable for each class.

Just because other off pick exotics can be used over meta doesn’t mean it’s a good pick. Exotics as a whole need a pass. There is little to no reason to pick Phoenix protocol over Starfire or hallowfire over HOIL or n manacles over controverse. Can all the above be used ? Sure - but picking a meta option would be more efficient and effective. Exotics def need a rework as there is a meta that could be expanded if they had a once over and others a complete rework.

Edited by Avoodle Kadoodle Noodle: 2/15/2023 3:14:36 PMYes I never said that they shouldn’t update some exotics because some of them do need to be updated. Also there are certain situations you would be using Phoenix Protocol over Starfire Protocol. If you want to spam more supers for your team especially for certain encounters you’re going to run Phoenix Protocol. Also saying that Hallowfire is basically useless because of HOIL is such a terrible take. Yes I understand HOIL is the go to exotic for Titans especially on Void and Arc. What I’m saying is that there’s a lot of other exotics that are good and viable to use. You don’t have to use meta all the time for end game. Me saying a lot of exotics are viable isn’t me saying that people should use them over whatever is the “meta”. I’m saying that if you don’t want to use meta then you can use other exotics that are 100% viable for end game.

Starfire with ashes to assets will get your super back twice as fast as pheonix, HoIL I better across the board than hallowfire (I'm not happy about it but it's true) and most other exotics just don't work especially for titan and warlock, I extensively main all 3 classes and hunter has the most endgame options by far and they don't have alot. MOST exotics are just dusty and need an update. Nothing manacles for example give tracking to scatter grenades, which come with tracking if you run the aspect. Just exotics from a bygone era.

Edited by Avoodle Kadoodle Noodle: 2/15/2023 3:25:40 PMYeah I’m done arguing about this to people like you guys. Never once did I say that Hallowfire or Phoenix Protocol is better than HOIL and Starfire Protocol. You guys aren’t understanding what I’m saying and it’s honestly painful. I’ll say it again other exotics that aren’t considered “meta” or “top” picks are still good and viable to use even in end game. This is the last time I’m saying that.
Also saying that Hallowfire is basically useless because of HOIL is such a terrible take.
- its not a terrible take. HOIL outclasses hallowfire in regen and ability damage so explain how it is a good idea to take hallowfire over HOIL - just because you can use something in end game doesn't mean its a good pick. Hell, i can equip apothos veil and complete a solo GM, doesn't mean its a good pick lol.

Like I said I’m done arguing about this. Just give it a rest and leave it alone.

Edited by Ragnar-The-High: 2/15/2023 3:31:27 PMI never stated that you said they were better. Breath boss. My point I was trying to make is why would you run those over the others I the others do the same things with extra benefits? It's like yes a moped is viable to drive 100 miles but if you have a car and a moped, why would you drive the moped? I mean run whatever you want but my point still stands that alot of exotics are old and need some reworks. Hallowfire should give bonus scorch damage or super regen on top of what it does. Something to make it a better option on solar instead of just HoIL which gives more ability regen than Fire with super. Also there's no need to get hateful.

Edited by Avoodle Kadoodle Noodle: 2/15/2023 3:34:32 PMWhich is exactly what I said. I literally said that some exotics 100% need to be reworked. My whole thing wasn’t about them needing to rework exotics. All I did was name off exotics that aren’t really meta or top picks yet are still good to use and still viable to use even for end game. Which I’m not wrong in saying that at all. Sure yeah I can just run Starfire yet sometimes people want to switch things up. Same thing with HOIL not everyone wants to sit there constantly using the same things. So me listing off exotics that are good and viable gives people an insight on what’s good if you don’t want to run meta.
-
And you can either test yourself or just google some random CC that did the testing for you on ability uptime of HOIL vs HFH
-
I know that HOIL is better than Hallowfire. I never said that Hallowfire regens abilities back faster than HOIL. I said that it’s still a good and viable option to use that’s more on the off meta side. Are you even reading what I’m saying or just reading the stuff that you want to read?
-
Listing off picks is like saying don’t need to run an exotic at all - which is also true and viable. Doesn’t mean it’s a good take. And no Starfire with ashes to assets will generate more super regen than Phoenix hand over fist in every encounter currently in the game
-
Edited by Avoodle Kadoodle Noodle: 2/15/2023 3:21:02 PMLook you can sit there and use meta all you want. Yet at the same time don’t sit here and act like the only viable options are the meta/top picks. People can still use Phoenix Protocol if you they want. It’s also still a very good and viable exotic to use. For instance in Kings Fall for Totems you’re actually going to get your super back faster with Phoenix Protocol. Mainly because you’re not spamming grenades that often in that encounter. You’re most likely going to be running an LMG and being able to chain back to back supers helps you and the team out more than just spamming nades.
-
Right and people can use no exotics if they want- again doesn’t mean it’s a good take. And no Phoenix isn’t better for super regen even at totems- I’ve sherpad 5 different teams through the master encounter for the seal…. It’s not necessary nor optimal over SFP
-
That’s cool. You done arguing about this to me? Because I honestly don’t care what you have to say anymore.
-
Not arguing with you - just stating a fact but whatever lol -
-
No you were definitely arguing don’t try and brush it off like you were trying to stat facts.
-
While I agree there are more than 3-4 good exotics per class, there is no way that Warlocks have 14 and Titans have 16. Neither of them have that many generally good exotics let alone good for end game.
-
Skullfort, Helm of Saint-14, Loreley, Precious Scars, Aeon Safe, Doom Fang, Stronghold, Synthoceps, Ursa Furiosa, Wormgod, Armamentarium, Falling Star, Hallowfire Heart, HOIL, Hoarfrost, Phoenix Cradle, and Parh of The Burning Steps. You also have Dunemarchers, Peacekeepers, Peregrine Greaves, Lion Rampants, Antaeus Wards, and One-Eyed Mask for PvP. Those are all the PvP/PvE end game exotics for Titan that are good and viable to use.
-
Crown of Tempest, Fallen Sunstar, Nezarec’s Sin, Verity’s Brow, Aeon Soul, Contraverse Holds, Getaway Artist, Nothing Manacles, Osmiomancy Gloves, Sunbraces, Mantle of Battle Harmony, Phoenix Protocol, Starfire Protocol, and Lunafaction Boots. Those are all the exotic Warlock armor that are good and viable for end game activities.
-
When you start your end game exotic list with crown of tempest, I knew you were not serious. It’s a good exotic, but it is nowhere near end game viable.
-
It’s 100% viable for end game activities. I’m sorry you don’t know how to build your character correctly to get the most out of it. It’s pretty much HOIL for Warlocks please tell me how that’s not end game viable.
-

What do you consider end game? If you came to my team with crown of tempest or HOIL for a GM or master raid, I would suggest you try a different exotic. And please don’t question my load outs, the only GMs you completed this season are the two easiest. I gilded my conquer title for the fifth time the first weekend they were available.
-
HOIL is the titan meta outside of specific encounters
-
Agreed. I thought they were talking about Helm of inmost light. I need more caffeine this morning.
