Bungie pitched us arc 3.0 as being fast. You literally don’t run any faster with the speed boost or being amplified. Your screen just gets an animation that gives you the illusion of running faster and then you look at your teammates running solar and void keeping right up with you. It’s so dumb.
Maybe your guardian has an ankle injury.
Whenever I get amplified I'm always out running my teammates that are on another subclass.
One friend always makes a funny comment when I run past them.

We’ve tested it many times just sprinting normally it does nothing for sprint speed except put an animation on your screen. I’ll link up with you in game and prove it if I have to. We literally laugh every time someone is amped and we just run right with them looking at mini map also they gain no distance.

I've tested with my mates plenty of times as well. There's an increase, yes the animation does make it look much faster when it's only a slight increase but there is an increase.

Edited by JD: 2/6/2023 9:21:12 PMI think I figured it out. If you’re sprinting without being on arc but you’re using a lightweight weapon that makes you run at the same speed as being amplified.

That’s completely plausible and LW are heavily used. The amplified sprint is faster than regular sprint. I don’t think anyone did testing to compare it sprint exotics or LW sprint buff.

If you’re sprinting without being on arc but you’re using a lightweight weapon that makes you run at the same speed as being amplified.
That or exotic boots that boost sprint will make guardians that aren't amplified keep up with another that is amplified. The really noticeable difference when amplified is your initial jump which can be both a good and bad thing. I'm not to fond of the increase in the jump because I'm so use to the normal jump. I like the animation and sound but the jump at times makes me over jump. A good example is this weeks nightfall. When you teleport in the dark area with screebs and the captain at the end of it. The little platforms between the sections in that area have gotten me a few times due to being amplified and over jumping.

Idk maybe are games broken then
