Call for Feedback from Destiny 2 Team

Hey Guardians, We've just created a new account here to enable us to post here on the forums more. We will be talking about this Destiny 2 Team account and others on 3rd party platforms in the TWAB shortly. For our inaugural post we wanted to create a thread to gather up some of your top priorities for changes you want to see in the game. Comment below with your feedback. Share whatever you like, just keep it civil and concise so we can read through as many as possible.

  • Allow Vendors to sell all related weapons previously carried the way you do with the new seasonal Vendors so we can trade in the respective engrams in order to purchase a shot at the perfect trait version of said weapon. I have been waiting for ages to try my luck at getting a perfect Sola's Scar but Saint-14's options have not changed in like 4 seasons. They should carry them all, with the requirement that you have to find them in order to buy them. That requirement and the fact that you must own the respective weapon set's seasonal pass is enough, we do not need the vendors locking out past weapons.

    Give Sparrows Unique engine sounds. This is one of those toppings that actually MAKE pizza and sundae. I purchased the Hot Rod Havoc because with how it looked, I expected it to sound like a Dragster, I was crushed when it sounded just like every other bike.... An alternate fuel-sourced dirt bike... These bikes are far too expensive to sound exactly the same..... I have not used it since..... While I will not rehash the "allow our bikes to do more" argument because I already posed that in great detail, I will ask that you update our old year 1 bikes to be able to disengage stability locks. It is a simple thing to make use of Amanda Holiday's skills and allow us to purchase upgrades for these old bikes. She is literally working on a bike full time in the tower.....

    This one is graphical and simple: Allow Witch/Warlock Robes and Titan Marks to flow over the back of sparrows permanently, instead of disappearing or becoming a part of the legs. Seeing my Witch's coat flying in the wind over my Skitterscare makes it look like it has an abdomen and it just looks cool on other bikes. Even filling out some of the skinnier bikes with ugly back-ends. Completely unrelated; Kinetic Damage Siphon Mod should work with natural uncharged Melee attacks, as they are in fact kinetic. Disruption Break perk should work with uncharged melee attacks as well, if it does not already. However, seeing as it is not working with the Kinetic Siphon Mod makes it a safe bet in my book that it is not. In either case and again, non-powered Melee attacks are indeed Kinetic. All you need to do in order to verify this is; eat your co-workers food that has been clearly marked with their name right in front of them with a smug face holding an arrogant smirk per undeniably daring bite. If you did not agree that it was, I am POSITIVE that after what befalls, you will. =o'..'~=

    I thought I was done, but then..... Titans...... Look, I have no idea who you listened to with the terrible idea to lengthen the cooldown of towering barrier, but seriously, please stop. I have a hard enough time trying to keep my teams Titans upright because the few who actually use Towering barrier, (which was boarderline useless due to enemies being smart enough to walk around or run straight through and attack) have trouble with it not protecting them from splash even though it is being hit directly, and the other 90% of them for some insane reason think the Rally Barrier is even an option considering most of the enemies you have to worry about are actually TALLER than a Guardian standing and use a weapon that ARCS..... in addition to having the same issues as the Towering Barrier.... But now the only viable barrier takes like 10 seconds longer to call? Come on now. This makes only 2 exotics usable an any serious stage. Not even Citans Ramparts are much help because the shield does not last long enough, nor is it strong enough to really take much more than one or 2 hits. Either lower the base cooldown, or give a major boost to the Tier Stat gain per level. I play all 3, but that extra long cooldown almost made me hang up my Titan armor as posh decor. They need cover, considering the barrier does nothing but ADD to an enemies aggravation. It does not even work as a proper "help me" because you or they can just as easily fire a missile and kill themselves with it. Do not do them like this.

  • Fix bright engrams. I'm sick and tired of getting cosmetics I already own just to dismantle them for shards and glimmer. At least let me get some bright dust when dismantling dups. Also bring back bright dust bounties.

  • Items that we lock in the mail, should not be pushed out, this way we can sort in peace and make use of a few external storage slots for a little while, also all items unlocked that vanish after the mail is full, should count as deleted, and award us shards, breakdown materials and Banshee level credit. As it is now, I feel like it is just a waste because when I am grinding for things I usually fill my Mail within 2 runs and cannot keep stopping to clear what I know I do not need. I would like Kadi to recycle for me.

  • Can we get a feature to check the load outs used by enemies in the previous matches. Its would help for refining individuals builds. Cause it kinda sucks checking to figure out what they are running during a match. Would also be nice if strikes were more like d1 with different enemies spawning in and stuff. I miss strike specific drops too.

      Please balance titans .. Shoulder charge movement 1.5 second sprint cooldown should be 5 seconds like Icarus dash or consume melee charge like behemoth does... Slide shoot shoulder charge into 1 - 2 punch shouldn't be a thing, op in pvp with broken warping d-sync. Crazy dps in pve Ballistic slam should lock titans out of movement and melee upon landing for a split second ( like shatter dive ) landing and blinding with synthos melee d-sync on console, you get victimized... Prolly shouldn't be able to kill 3 guardians in pvp, to remove something from one class ( revenant ) because it's op and to give it to another is senseless.. Thundar crash impact visual is b.s. it goes well beyond it's radius and has an infinite height cone to it. One should not die if it hits the ground and someone is 20 meters above it.. Dunmarchers way to far range and still double chains and chains off bodies on the ground, still Overshield should only be for the titan that used it isn't the barricade enough for their teammates.. Slow titans down why are they the fastest character in the game at 20 mobility and no mobility exotic.. makes no sense... U can't catch a titan or run from them...

          I would really love a season dedicated to the iron lords! Rise of iron was the best DLC and when you think how important they were, their origin stories should be told and refreshed for those who don't know it in D2! We had the siva story line but it didn't cover how they were! Bring Felwinter's peak back? Make iron banner actually in memory of the iron lords as it should of been? Like, use each iron lords weapons, get X amount of kills which unlocks the ability to light the flame at the relevant iron lords statue? ...then maybe some fancy emblem/shader/weapon for doing so? Like too can choose ONE iron lords weapon. Edit: an Iron banner Idea! 6v6 - one team has to hold Felwinter's peak, the other team start in Vostok and have to capture FP. Elimination style, can only be revived. Although the bridge between the two would lead the "invaders" vulnerable and I imagine it would be a snipers heaven BUT I'm sure there's ways around it...plus 2 shots in a sniper, no chance of getting anymore unless they get it from a kill (which they'd have to push for) so maybe there's hope! So either wipe the team for the win or Invaders capture FP whilst there's someone still alive on the enemy team! A story line to unlock the lore about them! Like you could literally walk into Vostok from Felwinter's peak, make it like an open private match area? The moment you step in, guns are active, doesn't effect KD or anything just for a friendly shoot about! I know it doesn't tie into the story now but they are one of the best things in the destiny lore and it would be amazing to have some of that back!

          More things I would like to see prioritized: All of the Destiny Legacy styles: Especially the Flaming Wolf Head, Devouring Maw as well as the old stage specific and Raid specific armors like the Warlock's Vex Legs (Items some people spent hundreds of dollars and hours trying to attain) re-released to those who bought and earned them as a functional armor Ornaments. The Thorn's Catalyst: I would like it to have an improved relationship to the Necrotic Grips. The Armor says that any target that dies while poisoned will spread poison but as it stands now, the Thorn will not spread poison unless you kill them directly with it. The Catalyst needs to unlock that ability, make the poison a good bit stronger and allow for the grips to recognize Thorn's poison and be triggered by it. As a bonus perhaps, also extend the tracking range of the souls released by direct hit kills with the weapon by 2 or 300%. Travelers Chosen: It is quite simple, I would like you all to change the random perk you gave it into one more fitting for the weapon; namely Thresh. It is a Light themed weapon, it makes the most sense that it should empower all aspects of Light. A Supercharge is the most dominant demonstration of Light we have, for the gun to empower everything BUT? That is folly. Outbreak Perfected: I would like the gun to start spreading Nanites and weaken targets on the first shot, because it is a Pulse Rifle and it fires 3 rounds with one shot, that should be enough to be considered as "marked". I would also like to see the Nanites that jump off a particular target due to rapid hits, actively attack other targets that are close by unless it is standing alone, as it stands, the gun on its own just does not feel truly Exotic, especially considering it was bred of the same weapon that killed the Iron Lords. It just does not feel scary. Also change the color of non-player Nanites back to red. S.I.V.A. Nanites need to be red, I do not need to know, nor do I care if I know who's Nanites came from which gun. Incandescent Upgrade: I would like for Incandescent to be considered as an Explosion and activate all solar explosive mods. I originally reported this as and still do believe was an oversight due to the explosion that takes place during the spreading of burn/scorch, as well as scorch as an ability being able to activate solar explosion Mods. I would like there to be an accord with all things that burn and explode. Enemy Styles: I would like to be able to use, true pieces of the enemy. I have long sense been a huge fan of the Vex and prayed for story arcs that led to us befriending them, with us finding a way to except augmentation without being killed by the process. The Precurser Hobgoblin head, torso including the tail/s and Wyvern Legs are the parts I want to use on My Guardian. Asher Mir was a perfect example of where I wanted the game to go for us players style wise. Ornaments for these different styles would be another item on my wish list. I would not mind paying for Full enemy characters broken down into Ornaments so I could mix and match them into something I truly enjoy. Mods: Neither Harmonic Siphon nor Elemental Armaments will work with Chromatic Fire's weapon explosions multi-kills. I reported this as an error already. I would also like to see Elemental Defense Mods upgraded to defend against all elements but give a high bonus to the element that it corresponds to. I would not be upset if you all decided to make these into new mods all together calling them heavy versions and costing 2 slots instead of 1. I would like for the Adept Mods to either be permanent Mods instead of consumable. The basic mods are still mods that would be used over them in a lot of cases, so I do not see the harm in it. More when I find the rest of my scroll....

        • Just please fix the servers. I'm sick of seeing contacting destiny servers or getting a baboon error it's becoming very frustrating. My internet is good and I'm wired in so it's on your end not mine.

        • Please add the Gambit Prime match rewards to the weapon focusing at Drifter. All of these are Gambit Prime weapons, but they have been excluded from his current weapon focusing. Gnawing Hunger (the only void auto rifle I currently have) Lonesome Night Watch

        • Fix and add to the Vault Companion app. I would like the loadouts options to be extended to save Ornaments, Mods, ships, emblems and Sparrow. I make use of themes.... Which extends the length of time to find certain pieces. It is murder making them then to swap between them on the fly only to STILL have work to do when I hit the button is very annoying. Vaults loadout page is not working for me at the moment though. It will not fully load so I can hit equip, it stops just before and restarts the application.

        • Please boost weapon crafting levels atleast back to Xmas where a lost sector was 18% instead of 12%. But hey make it 25% for the love of sanity I'm only on these forums now because I made a post about this. The thought of levelling up yasmin made me quit for the week till reset. If I was getting more than 1 crafted level per 8/9 lost sectors when just afew weeks ago I could do a level in 4/5 I'd be happily playing right now not minding about the bad drop rates of exotics in ls.
