My best friend and cousin, two of my closest guy friends abandoned the clan and left to play other games. I am the clan leader of a clan, that at one time had 90 active users and is now dead…. This is the most depressing part of it all. The complete lack of innovation is something that I accepted a long time ago. We are essentially doing the same things that we did in vanilla destiny one… most of my clan and myself agreed that it would be this way, but that we could stand it because those basic elements were strong, and there were different ways to play the game.
With the ever increasing seasonal grind, and Bungie’s insistence on dominating the way that we play the game, only the most hard-core now can get everything out of the game and level multiple characters, an act that before would make the game more interesting and fresh. The push for the game to dominate my time for fear of missing out, has only pushed me away from it. The abandonment of quality core Content and increasingly buggy releases doesn’t help either.

Yes, people cry and find it "depressing" that someone else isn't playing a game anymore. Welcome to the world of snowflakes and first world problems.
