Every pvp game in the world has some kind of sbmm in it. Implementing sbmm is a must. It's a logical thing to do. It's the right thing to do. You may like it or not, but no argument can change this. Every other game has it, Destiny must have it as well. Period. If you don't want to play people on your skill lvl - don't. As simple as that. Veterans playing against newbies had no excuse. It was despicable. Even if we waited 10 minutes for a match, let it be. In other games you need to wait as well. Deal with it.

Always happens. Sbmm is the nessesity that has to be used because some cannot help themselves and have to be a -blam!-. Very much like noob gankerd in pvp mmos. The ones that camp low zones and farm noobs with thier main maxed out character. Because some cannot practice self control. We have sbmm. Its their own fault. They should not have been stat padding with meta trials loadouts and qing with 5 other cracked try hards doing the same -blam!- in quick play. Sbmm is the consequences of their actions. -blam!- I'm friends with a cracked try hard. But he self nerfs himself Quickplay by playing with memey -blam!- so as not to ruin everyone else's game and to have fun himself goofing off. Just a shame more are not like my bruh.

  • I don’t care for SBMM, but I care about the terrible connection. I’m a fairly decent crucible player and I’m matching against guys who are eating shots like child eats candy. The connection is terrible, the long wait is terrible. The longevity of games is terrible. I absolutely see the reason for SBMM, but it’s poorly executed. The game has to get dedicated servers or just revert back.

  • You see them struggling constantly, with every release. Bungie is not a company like Activision. They don't have that power or money. It's a start of the season. Even the apps are laggy, so many things are bugged in general, you just can't blame sbmm for all Crucible problems rn. Connection problems and lag may not be sbmm related at all, as far as we know. It's only been 2 days! Give things some time to settle in.

The issue being, some and probably quite a few people like myself who only play pvp will go elsewhere. Having sbmm is fine. But sbmm with terrible lobby balancing, poor netcoding, poor hit registration, and a system that puts stacks against solos is unacceptable. All of that added up is just miserable. The bottom and top percent of players will have the most laggy games ever and the experience itself is unrewarding. I want to get better and better at games I like, and sbmm can indeed help with that. But sbmm without a way to measure my improvement feels terrible. With Destiny being a looter shooter, I want something to chase as well. Give me a reason to improve. They mentioned that we should be proud of skill, but I don’t see any reason to be proud of the inevitable longer wait times as the season goes on

  • Indeed. Im already not buying the next expansion. I know quite a few pvp mains that aren't as well. The pve mains would anyways. So Bungie will feel this later.

  • You are right about many things, but thing is - they just started doing sth to try to put things right. How long did it take to implement sbmm again, the thing every other game has? Like 2 years! They will fix lobby balancing as well, they already addressed it in one of their twabs. Who knows what else they plan to do. They obviously do those things very slowly, but they are trying. I fully understand people quitting, but people need to understand that some things need time and need to be done right. Sbmm is a must. It's what's right. They need to find the way to make it work, but removing it again is 100% wrong. There's no argument about it.

  • It is not a must. I am not of the ideology that the world needs to hold everyone's hand. If that were the case, we never would have evolved past ooooze
