I cant even express how much im thankful for this change
In the past few hours i had the best matches since you removed SBMM i was actually playing against players of my skill and not against sweaty tbagging scum who plays the match like their life depends on it.
To the sweats i can say only one thing...
Enjoy the ride, enjoy the most sweatiest matches in your life against players WHO can actually fight back cause its about damn time you got clapped.
Thank you bungie
I just wish you did that sooner

My only gripe is that ppl leave like crazy in my lobbies and the connections are worse than ever

6 RepliesBungle has tried this Flip Flop sham before in D1 and D2 - it failed. They refuse to actually address the Real "Elephant in the Room" issue that the game still utilizes Peer to Peer Networking developed back in the 2008ish Halo 3 era. Until they have properly tuned Regional Dedicated Host Servers, the game will continue to be a Fecal Lag Fest for all activities.

Now we need to remove card based match making

1 ReplyAgreed. And I suggest people disagreeing take a good, long look at the guidelines for posting. You may vehemently disagree with the OP but the number of abusive posts in response is out of hand.

22 RepliesEdited by BurlyPanther0: 8/26/2022 7:41:29 PMSbmm has good players being forced to play good and they’re mad cause there are better players and all of a sudden they realize that their rung on the ladder wasn’t as high as they thought. The only argument you have against sbmm is as follows “I’m good at this game and I’m mad I have to play other people who are good at this game” Not a great argument but it’s all you got. As many of you pvp sweats said before “get good”

4 RepliesEdited by Refrigerator Jax: 8/26/2022 3:49:16 AMI've just been reading on Twitter well known pvp players are getting their -blam!- handed to them in crucible and they don't like it one bit. They added screen shots of the score board and they were getting thrashed. Moaning and crying and saying they ain't going to play anymore and will be moving on to a different game. Hahahaha.... so then you're not good after all. Dicks

SBMM IS A GIANT DUMPSTER FIRE.

Edited by Bluebairy: 8/28/2022 12:04:53 AMNo reason to be toxic. Glad you are having better matches. Majority of the players are now having a worse experience and not having fun.
-
Speak for yourself. I can barely get into a fresh match. Most of my matches have been in-progress, mercy within 30 seconds, and the players I'm facing are way better than me. This -blam!- sucks, and I'm not even that great.

Edited by jceu: 8/26/2022 5:27:44 AMAnd you’ll still complain later you .62

5 RepliesSub 1.0 K/D player. SBMM is going to give you a better time. However a vast amount of players are now having a worse experience. Just because someone is above average it doesn’t make them sweaty
-
2 RepliesI haven't had good games and I'm not even sweaty. I'm not even good at PvP but every time I get in a game it's been horrific. I liked the lobbies I'd gotten in better prior, I felt that they were more in my level or maybe even above a little, the people I've gotten matched up with now are either gods of PvP or something. I haven't had too bad of lag, but it's just atrocious. I wished they go back to their matchmaking prior.
-
Sbmm is preferred by the common trashcan semi casual player. The scum of pvp.
-
You all better not be -blam!- about laggy lobbies then lol.
-
I’ve had the worse games I’ve ever had. People quit. Connections are bad. I quit.

Guardian,Archon Of LightRIP Destiny 9-14-2014 to 2-18-2026 - old
It will be back, they just disabled half the game for contest mode so streamers will get more views And what do streamers want , CBMM so they can look like God's to there fans -
Must be fun having full lobbies, and not a bunch where 2/3 people a team leave….

13 RepliesCan't agree more. I have been having so much more fun in the crucible again. Much better games than the ridiculous blowouts that were happening in the last few seasons. Well done Bungie and thank you!

14 RepliesSeeing pvp streamers cry because they can’t roll lobbies anymore is hilarious 😂😂

4 RepliesWell done bungie

Edited by kime: 8/27/2022 1:24:50 AMPVP feels MUCH better with sbmm than before. Not perfect but there is no comparison with the mess PVP was before this. I used to be in the bottom half all the time and today I was actually top of the list a few times. Nice feeling that I almost forgot since cbmm was introduced years back! Glad I did not quit the game like I felt so many times and decided to give it one more chance with sbmm. It was worth it. If it continues to be this enjoyable I might even start paying again for this game.

3 RepliesI’m laughing my was off at all the butthurt sweats on here who finally have to pick on someone their own size and can’t roll new light lobbies anymore

11 RepliesEvery pvp game in the world has some kind of sbmm in it. Implementing sbmm is a must. It's a logical thing to do. It's the right thing to do. You may like it or not, but no argument can change this. Every other game has it, Destiny must have it as well. Period. If you don't want to play people on your skill lvl - don't. As simple as that. Veterans playing against newbies had no excuse. It was despicable. Even if we waited 10 minutes for a match, let it be. In other games you need to wait as well. Deal with it.

11 RepliesPeople can whine all they want. I played three rounds today and had the best balanced three rounds I've had in years. What it comes down to is stronger players have gotten used to easy games and now have to play people on a level playing field. Good for the vast majority of the players, bad for the people who are ultimately responsible for why crucible has been such an awful experience anyway. I don't like one sided fights where it feels like I'm winning every encounter, I don't like being someone's kill streak fodder either, I like balance, and right now we're pretty close to it.

8 RepliesI'm just here for the sweat tears. Food for thought: if certain players can't face others of similar skill or allow others to do so then maybe these players arent as good as they thought.

Edited by SPARTAN A291: 8/26/2022 9:16:11 PMHonestly, the change in skill match ups isn’t the problem for me. I absolutely benefitted under the old system - I’m not amazing at the game and there’s definitely players out there I can’t touch but I’ve bullied people in Control before and it’s never felt good. That said, I absolutely welcome the prospect of playing better players since it’s how I grow and get better. That said, right now SBMM is a problem. Not the change itself but rather how the community is reacting to it. There’s no penalty for quitting games of control and ever since the change I frequently have been finding myself on the wrong end of 3v6 match ups where team mates have been quitting early in matches. Why, I don’t know. To protect their KD, because they don’t find challenging games fun, whatever. But it’s getting to the point that mismatched lobbies (in the sense that one team will be short several players) is no longer an occasional, unfortunate occurrence but rather something that’s coming to define the Crucible experience in its current iteration. It’s become hell for solo players both good and bad, and really wishing Bungie had considered the consequences of implementing SBMM without punishments for bad player behaviors trying to game or avoid the system. People who’ve been playing in good faith and just looking to have fun are the ones getting hit by the negative aspects and it’s impacting match quality across the board.
