Give Blue armor 4 slots and max light when Masterworked.

It seems reasonable to slightly update blue armor when masterworked to have the same 4 slots all other armor has, and it be able to be infused up to max light. I'll explain my logic in hopes of not eliciting "just throw away the blues" or "blues aren't meant to be good" For example I've attached a link to some war mantis gauntlets that helped my resilience and recovery in some builds. None of my legendary gauntlets quite hit the numbers w quite a few builds. And D2armorpicker.com (highly recommended) surprised me with just how many blue war mantis suggestions it gave. Since I can't raise it to max light, I can be slightly underlighted in activities like trials, or be completely in adequate to run the champion mods and the ever so important 4th slot for EW/CWL/other builds in addition to moving my light down a bit. I felt like it did require the same amount of materials as a legendary master work. But it is an inconsistent outcome. It seems reasonable on the rare occasion a player wishes to invest/use anything in the game. Regardless of its "status" that this type of material spend be reciprocated by reasonable functional upgrades. While blue armor (and weapons) are generally seen as useless, it did charm me that these pieces seem quite useful, as suggested by Bungie's own API. It also seemed reasonable that since it is a virtual world with limitations only set by the publisher - there could be a simple upgrade system for masterworking a blue armor piece. I'd love to be able to run a reloader and a Dexterity in pvp, or the 2 mods for champions in pve, etc etc. It is feasible, as a concept that when blue armor is masterworked it becomes "legendary" and is purple with one additional bonus stat? Maybe? Thanks for looking :)

  • What would be the difference between rare and legendary at that point?

why not just invest the time to get legendaries that have what your asking for.... other than the max light but legendaries have decent rolls and more mod slots to better customize your gear... solstice is out rn and you can farm your gear to have re rolled stats so im not saying that your idea isnt bad but it makes no sense bc your asking for something thats pretty much in game but in a different aspect because you dont want to grind for new rolls and armor when thats kind of the premise of this game
