I care to a point. Most of them aren’t weapons I’d want to use.
I’d originally hoped, as I’m sure many did, that crafting would be any fun with a red border would be able to be crafted.
Think about that for a sec… This could be the answer to the vault space problem if it’s done right. Think of all the “god rolls” in your vault. Imagine if each one could be crafted to include a PVP perk set &/or a PVE perk set?
Imagine having all that gun’s perks accessible just by using it as opposed to farming for your perfect roll?
I’ve spent a couple hundred runs farming for a perfect for me Eyasluna. I’ve gotten dozens and none with the exact perk set I want. But I enviously catch them on other guardians in the wild. I’d gladly rather spend that time leveling up one to access and equip specific traits I want.
And guess what happens to the 5-10 sitting in my vault for different scenarios or in case something gets buffed next patch? Shards and cores galore because I can go make it and grind it to “perfect”.
That’s what I’d hoped crafting would be, anyway. I’m not disappointed exactly, but it’s not where I’d hoped it be. But I do hope it goes there.
As it is, I feel like that might happen but anything with a red border that’s not in the pool now won’t be retroactively added as having been completed. Therefore I’m using more vault space in case they become craft able. Or until I decide to level them then shard them for materials.
Side note: Ideally I’d like to have one weapon with multiple switchable traits like on the raid adept weapons. Maybe getting it to level 100 or something… I dunno, I’m not a developer so I don’t know how hard this would be.
