I do care about crafting weapons but this present system is all over the place and predictably very Bungie. Why they have to over complicate things with so many different currencies is beyond me and caps on materials in general. I am unlikely to pursue crafting in its current state. A good idea , poorly implemented, but that was inevitable when we are talking about Bungie. Shame as overall this dlc has been very good.
