I mean, if someone doesn't switch up their playstyle because they don't feel like it, how does that affect you, any other player or bungie for that matter?.

Its a game dude, let people play lol. Besides, lets be honest here, there's no real progress in this game, no matter how bungie keeps rotating metas. Our progress gets wiped each season (from a character growth stand point), weapons get nerfed left and right and what's a good meta now is gonna be -blam!- later, 1k is a good example of that, it has been mediocre for the longest time and a single seasonal mod (quite op btw) changed that), sorry but that's not improvement nor progress, just an arbitrary situation that's gonna get wiped next season.

Your ability in the game only goes as far as you can be bothered to try that's my point ffs I never said they can't use what they want but the season rotates for the very purpose of trying different builds and ways of playing and I for one have become a better player for embracing it rather than complaining about it

Well yes and no, the season rotates to make money really, sadly we have became accustomed to the notion that its to flip the meta, that's just a bad reasoning to charge for the moneys, but anyway I digress. If you've became better by "adapting" to an arbitrary flip to the meta, that's friggin' amazing for you, but its not like handcannons, scouts, gl's, smg's, shotguns, etc are bad, they just became unusable in high level content due to an arbitrary condition (lack of champion mods), which in turn translates into less loadout options, how is that good for the game, its anyone's guess. In the end, people using whatever old, tired and dusty loadout they feel comfortable, should not -in any way, shape or form- limit your possibilities (and it doesn't), if you thrive on switching every single weapon everytime you log in that's great!, you can still keep doing that even if that old loadout is still viable.
