F in the chat for all those Hand Cannon/Scout Rifle mains out there who don't get to actually use their main weapons inn high end content for the next 6 months.
This -blam!- needs to stop, just make it:
Primary - Antishield
Special - Overload
Heavy - Unstoppable
Stop limiting the way we WANT TO PLAY.

I mean I agree that the champ mods system is excessively restrictive, but overload bow is king. Last season overload mods were terrible.

3 RepliesI’ve got no problem this season. Scathelocke/Shadow Price for barrier, threaded needle/eternity’s edge for overload. Levi’s breath/Plug One for unstoppable. I honestly this was one of the best season for mods personally

Just tried doing the legendary lost sector on the moon K1 Revelation using fusion rifle unstoppable and auto anti-barrier. It was an absolute joke. Half the time the fusion wouldn't stun and the auto used a whole clip to break the barrier and by that time the health was regenning. This season is a wash for me as far as doing GM's. What a waste guess its time to opt out and come back at Halloween.

antishield is primary, ok, ur right, BUT! overload is also primary/kinetic while offering heavy (sword) Unstopable is primary/special while offering special/heavy. You missed some mods. But weapon choices for theese mods could be definetly better

While I agree that Champ mods are too restrictive the seasonal mods aren’t all bad. Yes Unstoppable sidearm isn’t great but Overload Bow is fantastic(and I hate bows). This will be [b][i]MY[/i][/b] GM loadout! Depending on the Weekly Champions [b]Kinetic:[/b](Bow) Biting Winds w/Explosive Payload (Excellent for Overloads) Europa Bow False Promises(Auto Rifle) Or Seven Seraph Carbine w/Vorpal Auto Rifle I’ll have to play around with these as I’m not a big Auto rifle user but this is for GMs so Range is a Factor. ________________________________________________ [b]Energy:[/b] ERIANA’s Vow (Exotic Special HC) Intrinsic Anti Barrier perk Paired with Lucky Pants Or [b]Energy:[/b] Vex Mythoclast(VoG Raid Exotic Fusion) For Unstoppables Yes I know Vex is rare.(This is MY loadout) But Null Composure or the Cartesian Coordinate (Vorpal Roll) are great Rapid Fire Fusions that instantly proc the Particle Deconstruction Mod. (Only one person in a Fireteam needs to rock this Mod) The other two should be running the Withering Heat mod (Causing damage with Solar Abilities weakens Champions for a Short duration) ________________________________________________ [b]Power:[/b] Threaded Needle w/Rapid Hit and Vorpal Or *Sleeper Simulant (both Linear Fusions) Or 1 Thousand Voices(Raid Exotic Fusion) Depending on the Strike/Boss *Sleeper Simulant is king of DPS when Paired with the Particle Deconstruction Mod. You can still use them in high end content. Unless you are solo there is really no need for more than 1 champ mod. Overreacting.

Bungie demands control over our playstyle .. I call it "forceplay", which is Dev "foreplay", they get off on it .. All sitting around their tiny tables dreaming up their sticky little sadistic methods of pissing us off as players .. Your solution is the best yet .. Will never happen though sadly, devs need their control, they get off on it.

This week can have a weapon type for each champ and each Tuesday it can rotate. Rather than losing people for the season, at most you get a week you don’t like, take a break (that’s a good thing too) and come back next week. If they really want us to try new stuff that would be a better way. Either that or just restrict certain game modes to only allow certain weapons, like how prestige EOW was back in year 1. That is their goal isn’t it? Just a thought…… (Spell check edit lol)

2 RepliesOR, give an extra mod slot and use it on your weapon of choice. Say I want an unstoppable bow. Well, then I’m gonna put an unstoppable mod on my bow. But unfortunately, that’s not how bungie wants us to play...

They should let us use off season champion mods for a higher energy cost like scavenger perks

I also think that exotics should all have instrinsic perks towards champions. Plus with what you and other have stated, letting us play how we want would definitely solve my vault problem. I hold onto things like sidearms that would be great if champion mods were tied to that type of weapon, just in case like this season. Granted I hold onto almost everything just because they like to change the meta and make perks that are trash, meta. Same with the archetype's of weapons. It's a mess.

What I really like about this season's mod is the fact that they persisted with Unstoppable side arm for two seasons in a row, just to avoid giving us a decent option for dealing with barriers

1 Replybetter yet just make an anti-barrier mod, Overload mod, and an Unstoppable mod. you can pick two to slot on your arms armor. then any primary you pick gets the benefit of both. primaries should be used to stun anyways then specials and heavies used to finish them off.

We want to use our favourite guns. And no, not all of them are meta guns. Why is it so hard to understand that people have personal taste. I mean they went to all the trouble to make the guns have unique traits, looks, sounds, feel etc. Limiting that after the fact is counterproductive.

16 RepliesThis is the vibe that I'm getting from this game in the last couple of years. Some say the game has RPG elements. But how can you role play if you can't even use the weapons that you want to use? How can you become somebody in a game when everything is being dictated to you? The R in RPG goes into the trash. Some call it a looter-shooter but there is no meaningful loot. If there is loot, you either don't get it because RNG is so bad you don't get it. Instead of a looter-shooter, you end up with just a shooter. So many things they call this game but none of them applies anymore these last couple of years. The game has no stability in its implementation that it seems like it doesn't even fit to any of these description. It's so unstable the gun usage is now under their controlled meta. And they just keep stirring this around for the last 7 years now, and has gotten worse these last couple years. Even Old recycled guns from long ago are coming back. The RPG element in gaming is supposed to let you chose who you wanna be in gaming. This rotating meta and changing viable gun rotations via mods creates instability and is not an RPG element of the game. Sometimes I even question their new description label saying game is an Action MMO. Whatever that means. "Action" games could mean anything, further widening the coverage to justify these instabilities they create and could introduce to the game anytime they want. All for the sake of controlling how they want you to play the game their way. It seems like that's what it's all about. Control!
