AntiBarrier AR's ar horrible
Back to Eriana's for that
Bungie: we want you to play the way you want to play BUT only if you play the way we make you play.

What are you talking about? Rapid fire Autos rip through Champion barriers.
-
But they're not at all horrible, though. Stay away from 720s and you'll be fine. We had no trouble beating some of the hardest ever GMs with Gnawing Hunger/Arc Logic/Summoner three seasons ago. 450s like Shadow Price are solid, too. Pick your rolls with the best range and perks that are good for GMs (i.e., frenzy, OFA, disruption break instead of stuff like rampage).

You people really like to take the "play the way you want" comment out of context. No one is forcing you to engage with champions. All champions outside of endgame content can be handled without mods, they just make it easier. If you want to go into endgame content, mixing up your load out is part of the process. Would you rather they put champions in more areas of the game or bring back sunsetting? Those are the two choices Bungie is presenting to you as a nice way of saying "Use something else once in a while!"

Edited by BrujaMalvada: 8/30/2021 1:42:19 AMWhy do they care what we use? Different people like different things. Bungo can't seem to respect that, they seem to be driven by some kind of corporate ego that makes them want to smoosh us all under their collective design thumb. A reasonable solution would be to make each Champion stunner a mod you can put on a weapon. If they find that just too flexible for their sensibilities, make it spendy, so we don't change it up 20 times a day (heaven forbid that we get to tailor our gear to what's fun for us to use). (this coming from a person -blam!- LIKES bows, and thinks it's great that Le Monarque is back) WTF? This stupid thing made a perfectly valid/benign phrase into "-blam!-" LOL, it thought "dubya H O" followed by "really" had the 'ho-word' in it.

Edited by Hunter_Umbra: 8/30/2021 1:50:30 AMI'm not gonna fault them for trying to mix around the pve meta. Players willing to stop clinging to the "I earned this weapon so I should be able to use it everywhere" mentality will see that they're trying to delay the inevitable feeling of stagnation. Who knows, maybe Witch Queen will be the end of the Champion system given the Hive Guardians. I can just imagine the posts calling for those to be removed, in spite of players wanting them in the game. I swear, whether it's pve or pvp, Destiny players always call for the removal of something instead of learning to adapt.

Edited by BrujaMalvada: 8/30/2021 2:20:22 AMThere has to be a better way to keep things from becoming "stagnant" than cramming fixed undesirable weapons up everyone's b*tt. I could see restricting it to being able to choose two types at a time, and maybe keeping Heavy out of the mix. Why is it Bungo's business if we 'learn to adapt?' It's a freakin' game, not a job or a pro sport or brain surgery. It should be fun, and part of fun is being able to choose how to play. And I don't see a lot of "adapting" away from shotguns in PvP, but apparently Bungo doesn't care about that.

Ya we don't HAVE to use them... unless you want to do anything that drops good loot in a looter shooter....

Re-issued this season… just as good as I remembered.
-
But then I'm forced to use a bow in my kinetic. I prefer energy bows. The champion mods suck.
-
You can use the overload solar stasis melee mod. That should at least free up two weapon slots. The mods should be universal though every season and not restricted to certain weapons.
-
Agreed and with lucky pants rework might as well run that.
