Everyone needs to feel important. Better than. Exclusive.
Heaven forbid someone get eyes of tomorrow as a random world loot drop or from Xur...it will destroy their identity.
A raid for lower tier players to experience content? No way go get brutalized by one percenters in LFG.
They need to do something similar with raids like they did with the trials bounties. Get more players into playlists experience content get a reward. And the 1% can still have their titles, seals and adept weapons.

This is ridiculous. First, raids should 100% have a raid specific exotic that only drops in the raid. Like, that's just a given, it's one of the things that makes that raid special. One of the reasons people ran Scourge so much was for Anarchy. Second; I ran a raid where my clan leader literally had to use google translate to explain mechanics to someone in mandarin who didn't speak a word of English. They spoke in the in game chat using google translate. We cleared with very few wipes because on a fundamental level the other person had a high enough base knowledge and understanding of the game and it's mechanics to understand what we were explaining to him. We cleared without ever saying a word to each other, and I wouldn't be surprised if half the stuff google translated was done incorrectly because... it's google translate. Raids are not for the 1% lfg. And for all the people who clearly don't know, there is a form of matchmaking in Destiny for raids, its called guided games. Which is barely used... because people don't like wasting time in a raid with people who may or may not know what they're doing and may or may not be there to troll half the time and may or may not just drop out at any point for no reason. I ran an LFG raid in CoS that ended up taking 4 hours because on every wipe someone would just leave, and we'd half the wait 10 minutes for a new person. There's a reason raids don't have matchmaking, because it just doesn't work.

I know. Listen all I'm saying is let's make all content and rewards available to all skill levels and if content requires a fireteam there should be a lower tier version with matchmaking with tiered reward power but the same rewards. That was the fun of D1 one and simple community driven lfg. You finished your power hard or challenge runs and settle in with 3 friends to teach and lead guardians through it. And made friends or new classmates along the way. I've been here since the giddy up. Lfg and raid groups are not the same at all. Unfortunate. Guardians now just berate people less time. Less friends. Or quite frankly a more casual approach to play but would like to experience a chill raid run. The lfg "be good or get kicked" toxicity. The game is fun I grind out crucible and gambit...but the pve is hollow universe of experiences and grindy joyless content where fun and wonder of "wow watch that guy run relic" to "rotate or wipe here...oh look it's the green button..." Woot woot.

If you've been around since day 1 then you remember the good ol' times of Ghally or kick. I was booted from orbit simply because I hadn't gotten Ghally even though I had cleared VoG and CE multiple times already. I was even booted once at the Crota encounter because, even though I had played everything until then perfectly fine, they found out I didn't have a certain rocket launcher and booted me.. at the final encounter. Finding a group is way easier in D2 and less people (aside from Trials/survival lfg) don't care what you use as long as you have a basic understanding of the raid mechanics, and you can find LFG groups that are specifically there to sherpa raids. It took me the better part of a month to find a solid group of people in D1 to run raids with on a regular basis. In D2, the first LFG raid I went into was GoS and I had no idea what I was doing yet the people I found taught me the basics and I figured out the finer details on my own. I ended up befriending one of them and a couple weeks later I got into a clan of other people who enjoy teaching raids. I've been with this clan for over a year now. Some things could benefit from matchmaking, sure, but I don't believe raids ever will. Even if Bungie were to implement it so few people would use it you would be waiting half an hour to fill a team just to end up with people without mics or various other issues causing something to leave and you have to find a fill. Ultimately, LFG is just the better solution for this kind of content. Making an easier version with the same loot just to add matchmaking would only trivialize the challenge of the raid over all. Why bother doing the harder version if I can just do an easy version and get the same loot. It's not like you would every have to do the harder version considering you can play the core playlist activities for pinnacle and power level through those rewards. Besides, like I said before; even if there was an easier version with matchmaking, most people would still use LFG so they could find committed people with the same goals going into the raid. If I only have so many hours in an evening to play Destiny, why waste most of it trying to matchmake into a raid with people who don't know what they're doing/are trying to do 3 different challenges as once/troll etc. when I can go to LFG, see someone is trying to find 1 more for a specific goal in the raid I want, and talk to them during encounters to make the whole thing go 1330 times smoother.

Edited by iliopoulosXD: 4/7/2021 10:25:49 PMBecause you get a higher power, adept version remember the challenge modes....and cosmetics. I remember well. I didnt get vex until after defeating skolas day one of HoW....and I have friends who never ever got a fatebringer...but you know what we could do the raids every week. I could run relic and go in and take care of oracles Running lamps was so much fun and run sword and teach mechanic along the way...so before you know it even skittish friends could manage their position in a raid. I remember forever "insert power lvl" very well. But the base raids were never prohibitive to lfg if you had a sherpa and a1 or 2 friends along with a crew from lfg and I ran raids like that. I'd so my challenges licketysplit with a core group..do each raid and the. We would rotate helping clan members and lfg. Regarding ghally. I remember friends screaming in our joy at that random drop or that chest before Gordon's. Yiu remember those tears of joy. That doesn't exist in destiny today either

They are talking of bringing adept weapons to more parts of the game so at the end of the day, nobody knows what will happen. Unfortunately, I think the reason we don't have any of those screams of joy exotic drops is because Bungie can't give us super OP weapons. I don't remember where I read it so I can't source it, but I believe the reason, or one of, that EoT does less damage against Boss's is specifically because they didn't want a repeat of D1. They didn't want EoT to bring back the, must have X weapon or kick which I think we can all agree was a pretty toxic time in D1 and is why many people didn't get to experience what we did. Finding those 1 or two people if a chill raid group, then a full fireteam, then a clan. That, and things have to be balanced in the crucible or you have that whole can of worms. Honestly, If Destiny was a purely PvE game, I think it would be better off but PvP has been around since D1 alpha so, it's not going anywhere.

Didn't mean for that to be that long, and I'm not trying to argue over the issue. Just using examples to get my point across that ended up being longer than I meant it to
