Why's it a struggle for them?
I don't get what's difficult about raids.
If you can pay attention and understand mechanics, you can do a raid

Some people struggle and some don’t, I’d say we had more people struggle in garden and crown then we have had struggle in dsc. Generally mechanics get to new people who don’t raid much, also people who don’t raid much or play much lack some of the weapons we use for dps like xeno and or anarchy which ends up extending encounters and risks wiping.

I think it’s like anything , not everyone has certain skill sets . As for damage, I would disagree. Allow me to use crown as an example. The end boss in crown has a lot of moving parts, and a lot can go wrong very quickly. From losing your buff while trying to stun the clever guy, to the clever guy being out of position to get killed to not being able to destroy the middle crystal . While those things are not difficult for me or for my core group , you would be surprised how many people who do not raid all the time have an issue with that boss because of those things. Then stack on top of the fact they aren’t outputting crap for damage because of lack of weapons , means you are going to have to repeat that phase several times 3/4 to finish the boss. All that does is lead to more wipes because now there are more chances for something to go wrong. And with a lot of new people it tends to go wrong. I’ve Sherpad enough people to know On taniks it hasn’t been a huge issue, but we are running 2-3 new people thru at a time, we are also doing the 4 bomb strat as it’s just easier. It eliminates using scanner and gives us an extra damage cycle. But new people being able to stay alive against the captains and meteors has been a problem at times. Like I said it’s a mixed bag, some new raiders never have a problem and some take a while to let it sink in and make sense
