Solstice Quest & Eververse

So I'm going to be forthright and up front about this: I only reinstalled Destiny 2 to grind up my light and do the solstice armor quest so that I could buy the ornaments from the eververse. I don't know how Beyond Light is going to shake out, but chances are (or at least were) that I was going to play it. I understand that the quest chain was long and I was given more than ample time, but I came back at about 960 light. I did everything and got my armor up to 1050-1060 across various pieces in order to do Trials (since my artifact is only giving +8 or so, I was worried. I later discovered the artifact was disabled in Trials.) and I have that part of the quest chain left to finish. I was unfortunately unable to play over the weekend before the reset due to work needing me back with the end of the covid quarantine in my area, or at least reduction in quarantine conditions. At any rate, I am going to choose re-employment over a weekend of trials. So I thought to myself, "Alright I have an extra week to finish the quest chain. Let's get the silver in now before I forget and buy the ornaments. Ok, so I can't buy the ornaments without the quest chain finished? Well I guess it makes sense that I can't buy them. Bungie would be hassled with a ton of refunds on these ornaments by people that didn't finish the quest in time. I'll just get the ornaments once I finish the quest." Come to find out, you've disabled the ornament purchase yet left the quest enabled? Where in the fine print did it say that you would be doing so? Can I have a refund on my silver at the least or at most, can you extend the purchase availability for the ornaments until whenever the armor quest is fully disabled? I actually have uninstalled Destiny 2 again as it sits, but would reinstall to finish the trials matches. I don't want my money back and I'm not baby raging, but I fully planned to uninstall again once the ornaments were purchased and await Beyond Light. I'm not necessarily hurt or upset by Bungie here, but the clarity was absolutely lacking. I've never asked for a return before through all of D1 and D2. I don't even want the return really, I want the ornaments. I'm actively trying to give you money Bungie. Can we please go over this? Seriously, I want those horns on my hunter. • It was only required to unlock the Magnificent set in order to be able to purchase the ornaments. The quest is no longer available as the event has ended, so you cannot continue to upgrade the armor, but you can still complete the final objectives to unlock the white glows.
