In times of these I am glad we have the internet and a platform as YouTube. Don't have to experience the 1h+ bullshit, only the actual 5 minutes of "the event".
-
Can't wait for Kelly Green's 5 page essay on why it's not Bungos fault but actually yours.
-
Am I seriously to understand the entire season came to culmination today at noon while people were working and with no actual announcement? Get f-ed, Bungie.
-
Lmao You had to be here ! To waste an hour and a half of your life ! The only way this would have been a triumph for Bungo is if it killed Tess and then all the Eververse loot magically got put into the game loot pool to earn through looting . But instead Tess will be selling “ I Almost died ! You Had To Be Here ! “ T shirts for 2000 Silver 💰🤑💰💩💩💩💩💩
-
Quite enjoyed the event even though the reset was at 3am down under😬
-
Whats truly sad is, Bungie are legit proud of them selves for this, they think this was a major accomplishment.
-
Well I missed it. Hadn’t played for a couple of days. No notification or alerts. I turned it on tonight (Sunday) read a message about the almighty being destroyed. Fan f’n tastic.
-
I went to the tower. Saw people looking up. Looked up for a couple minutes. Left and finished my felwinters lie quest.
-
This posting is more entertaining than what I just saw... 💀
-
The last minutes of the live event were really cool
-
They tried to pull a fortnite. Big fail
-
Honestly. Bungie. This event was such a damned flop, just give us a 30 seconds cutscene next time. At least your art/sound/music department does a good job at things 🤷🏻♂️

Edited by Kouz_MC: 6/7/2020 9:10:04 AMWe live in times of viewers. Even though there is no statistical evidence to correlate the number of people who view and/or jump online after they receive a notification, to the number of sales/revenues, this the time when madmen lead the fool, thus expectations matter more than actual results. Hence Bungie needs to show investors/the market that they trigger a lot of interest, more so when the actual content released is minimal. Get used to this new definition of value guys. Bungie is only following the trend. Tbh I understand they did very well yesterday given how little actual content was released! I personally hope that this and the upcoming buildup will lead to the delivery of a great Fall DLC.

Guardian,Archon Of Light
Blade Of The Traveler - old
I wish I could have watched it on the tower, had to watch it on YouTube Dang family obligations -
I followed comments on Twitter and it’s really crazy how delusional and disconnected many of the people who are writing comments are. dmg only replies to the streamers who have like the mildest criticism while praising the event in itself. And when you say that it was too long (I mean 90 minutes of nothing... not really debatable), the fanboys tell you to play something else. It is somewhere between grotesque and annoying. If I didn’t like the game so much, I would hope for it to completely crash so that the fanboys finally get the goddamn message.
-
Honestly, with how everyone on this forum is, even if Bungie did someone genuinely incredible, you would still rip 'em apart.
-
If you are asking about the almighty event you do realize it started from 1 to 2 p.m. yesterday It was a Time event engagement You can still get the emblem that's right next to zavala It's the area that says interact with crash site
-
Bungie is just totally losing respect every time the launch something new. This game just sucks
-
If bungie said it would be a progressing event lasting an hour and a half I would be less annoyed, but still a bit, as it was a “live event” so people hopped on but might’ve had to hop off because it was a long time.
-
I haven’t played in over two seasons and ended up deleting the game, so I had no idea to what was going on til I ran into Houndish live vid on YouTube. It was very long and drawn out, and I was hoping this would be the moment I reinstall the game... So yeah... A cut scene and the trailer for the next season would have been better.
-
I really can’t wait to read everyone’s “my time is so important” post. Peoples self worth is really over exaggerated. Then comes the ” Sunsetting is bad” people
-
Captured the whole event live on my YouTube channel bungie did an amazing job with a huge explosion and almighty crashing down to earth in the distance also had huge chunk taken from side of where Tess Is shame it did not take her store out 😂😂 also there was an embalem available to collect from the rubble. Bungie must do more live experiences like this as it really brought the community together. Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday

Edited by TekkaCroe: 6/6/2020 10:59:00 PMThose last couple of minutes were quite exciting and well-presented. But the impact of it was just totally deflated by the over-long buildup. Those of us who actually showed up at the scheduled time were treated to: ~30 minutes of precisely nothing. ~30 minutes of small red lines crawling toward the Almighty. ~25 minutes of "anime_space_battle.gif" overlaid onto the Almighty. There's building suspense, and then there's taking it so slow that people start to question whether the game is bugged and malfunctioning. Had the event steadily unfolded and concluded within the hour it was scheduled to occur, I think people would be a lot less peeved about it. A full hour is the longest I think I'd be willing to ask someone to wait for a "stand around and watch" event. Man, the grind is one thing, but now even the scripted narrative sequences don't respect the players' time. [EDIT: grammar]

Bungie really need to start giving players more details about events like this. All they said was that you had to be in the Tower at daily reset. That's it. That's all they said. Yes, I will admit that this was a very minor event, but they could have at least told us how long it would take. Everyone expected it to happen immediately, at reset. But because Bungie didn't give us all the details, we spent over an hour wondering if it was bugged.
-
How’s the debris get here so fast took hour and half just to blow up
-
If it takes this long for rasputins weapons to reach a target, we are screwed when the pyramid ships show up. In reality Bungie really knows how to artificially inflate playtime smh
