Those last couple of minutes were quite exciting and well-presented. But the impact of it was just totally deflated by the over-long buildup.
Those of us who actually showed up at the scheduled time were treated to:
~30 minutes of precisely [i]nothing[/i].
~30 minutes of small red lines crawling toward the Almighty.
~25 minutes of "anime_space_battle.gif" overlaid onto the Almighty.
There's building suspense, and then there's taking it so slow that people start to question whether the game is bugged and malfunctioning. Had the event steadily unfolded and concluded within the hour it was scheduled to occur, I think people would be a lot less peeved about it. A full hour is the longest I think I'd be willing to ask someone to wait for a "stand around and watch" event.
Man, the grind is one thing, but now even the [i]scripted narrative sequences[/i] don't respect the players' time.

I logged out and go to sleep at the first 10mins because i think it is bugged or just show us the almighty. And then i found it start after 5mins i log out...wtf.

I was Beavered twice! But was able to get back to the tower fast

This event shouldn't have lasted longer than 10 minutes. This was just disgraceful and honestly an insult to our time!
