TWAB is SCARY for Vendors
Ok when Luke talked about loot a couple TWABS ago I thought we where getting vendor refreshes in the upcoming expansion but we are not. What we are getting is ONE armor set for Vanguard, Crucible and Gambit. The armor set is the exact same except they’ll have different decals to represent their activity. Just read today’s TWAB and we are getting ZERO yes ZERO brand new weapons at these vendors. We are getting ONE shared loot pool for all 3. Which is these weapons listed below. This is a huge yikes Bungie. It’s looking like one streamlined loot pool for all 3 core activities with all old lame weapons.
Oh and DMG confirmed this on Twitter for you people saying this isn’t true.
This also means if u don’t collect the weapons required for Dredgen, Reckoner and Unbroken badges before this season is over you will never be able to get those titles.

1 ReplyThis is the world drop list, it’s updated from world drops we get now. All vendors/playlists are getting new armor and weapons in the expansion not the next season. Next season the vendors/playlists are still gonna have same stuff as now. We are going into a transition.

1 ReplyDmg confirmed no vender refreshes with the new dlc? I doubt that. You realize next season is not a dlc right. I bet he confirmed the shared world loot pool for next season. The season that follows is going to have a vender refresh.

To be fair, they have said the new armor would be NEW. Not just re-skinned but with new geometry. I think it was a couple TWABs ago. -
Isn't this list just for the things that drop straight from those activities, not the vendor weapons themselves?

I suspect they will refresh weapons as well given that they are adding old Vanguard,Crucible,Gambit weapons to world drops, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. World drops are from legendary engrams. They are not the rewards from crucible engrams, gambit rank ups, etc.

Remember how you had to go flawless in GoS to get the shader for the collections badge? You no longer need that shader to get the Enlightened seal.

16 RepliesThis isn’t what was meant by the TWaB. By world loot pool, what it means is weapons that drop from random purple engrams during activities and from prime engrams. I have noticed that people don’t seem to have picked up on the fact that the TWaB said, in a very convoluted way, that these world drop weapons will have fixed rolls, in other words, random purple engrams that drop will no longer be randomly rolled....so yeah, that’s pretty shit.

And a biggest pool - so less chance to get what you want ? The way it go today is "fine" (if there was at least some form of refresh - and maybe rethink the token system/economy to take into account that some players have thousands of them idle - maybe two bracket of price, one for news and one for old weapons). We STILL don’t know what the vendor refresh strategy will be (if there even is one), and this is NOT something Bungie should save as a “surprise”. They aren’t going to get any gratitude from me if they make us wait six months wondering if they’re taking this game’s loot seriously or not.

They are giving us reprised weapons in season 11 right before they sunset the ones we are already using from us. What the actual what!? They mention that they are sunsetting all season 1-8 weapons but look at that list. We already have most of those now.... from seasons 1-8 Why even sunset these in the first place? Redundancy Bungie wonders why all of the backlash... does any of this make sense? This cannot be considered reasonable by anyone.
