Well then to be fair you need to also shoot the machinegun as many times as is in the burst.
Otherwise it would not be a comparrision.
Then it would just be a damage test of you shooting 1 weapon 2-3x and the other 1x.
So you should recheck your calculations.

Impact equals 1 action you feel me boi. One tap of the trigger and the results are as follows. The DPS and and overall still track the individuals. So if you want the to know the damage from each individual bullet you may take my per burst dmg number and divide it by 2. Which just for you is 1,962. It's still more that the MG at 1,439 because Bungie had it nerfed for bosses but 21%. That's just the facts of it dude, they're bad now
-
Whatever your imaginary numbers tell you. Meanwhile us people with common sense know they are much better than sidearms at add controll.
-
You may do your own math, the numbers are quite real xD
-
Yes. The numbers are. Yours are not. Because you dont know the basics of comparing.
-
I'm going to reiterate, not a single Primary should touch any Heavy weaponry in either Damage or DPS. This being what it is means my Sidearm likely out damages most MGs which is sad
-
It doesnt outdamage it though. It deals 40-50% of the damage per bullet compared to a MG and the MG has a much higher RoF.
-
Here you may be the chart again Dmg results- Breachlight - VorpalWeapon (Per Burst) Minors: 5,041 Bosses: 3,924 Boss DPS: 10,627.5 Overall: 557,208 Hammerhead (Per shot) Minors: 5,264 Bosses 1,439 Boss DPS: 10,792.5 Overall: 438,238
-
Yes. On adds you do lower than a MG ...and that is 2 bullets vs 1 bullet. At 1/7th of the range. Your damage chart proves MG's are better at add controll.
-
This post isn't about how much damage MGs do on thrall Blueberry, it's about the fact that Primary Weapons do better Boss damage than MGs
-
That is because a MG is an ADD CLEARING WEAPON. That is like saying a sniper with vorpal does better boss damage than an auto rifle...they are made for completely different roles.
-
But an MG is also a HEAVY WEAPON no Primary Weapon should be able to overtake a Heavy on any accounts. Otherwise there's no point to it being a HEAVY
-
Whisper is also a heavy weapon. And ANY primary is better at add controll when compared to it. What is your point. Different guns are made for different things.
-
So the guy says his sidearm does more boss damage then the mg and you keep bringing up that mgs are better at ad clearing. Which no one has argued against...but you’re side stepping his point. His kinetic sidearm does more damage against a boss then a Heavy machine gun. Which is a problem in both design and categorizing. A kinetic sidearm shouldn’t be doing more damage then a heavy against a boss. I mean if your going to argue that all MGs are good for is ad clearing...then why put them in heavy? Sweet Business is, in operation, no different then a MG. Yet it’s kinetic and does the same function. High capacity rifle for ad clearing. Weapons meant to kill Dregs aren’t Heavy weapons. Never have been. It’s the exact opposite of what the weapon slot is designed for.
-
Grenade Launchers are better add clera weapons than MGs and they still do the same damage to Bosses that they do to minors. MGs currently do -21% to boss mobs compared to their actual base Damage
-
Gratz. Machineguns are still add clear weapons...not boss damage weapons. Whisper also deals a load of damage to adds...doesnt mean it is an add clear weapon. Also...grenade launchers have like 20 ammo where every round kills maybe 5 adds if you pile them up. Machineguns have 500-600 ammo where every bullet can kill 1 add. So stop being dumb and comparing add kill to boss damage weapons. Have you seen how many people disliked your posts ...that is because every one else knows better. And you can still use xenophage as a machinegun. That thing deals about 20-30x as much as a breachlight burst....per shot.
-
MGs are a Heavy Weapon and so if there are Primary doing better than them they shouldn't be Heavys. And if were going solely on the add clear ability both Graviton Lance and Outbreak Prefected add clear and DPS better than MGs
-
They really dont. And as i said WHISPER IS A HEAVY TOO..and it is not an add clear weapon. Every weapon has a thing they are good at...no weapon is good in everything. The sooner you understand that the less of a fool you make of yourself.
-
Edited by Gemini Trash: 2/18/2020 5:56:20 PMThey do and I'm only bringing in exotics specifically because you are. Like you you know Prometheus Lens actually does better add clear than Xeno? That's crazy Edit: actually Prometheus Lens add clears better than any MG, bc auto reload on kill
-
That is because xenophage is a boss damage weapon. Seems like you still have no idea what weapons do what. Basically you are saying is this... Whisper and izanagi are bad at add clear so it is a bad weapon. And the bad part is...you dont even realise how many people think you are wrong.
-
Because its unique exotic to which there are not others to properly company too. That's why you sound stupid. For example Wardcliff Coil does be add clear and DPS, but that's a Unique exotic for which there are no others similar. So how about we not compare Legendaries to Exotic Weapons because that only opens me up to more weapons that shit on MGs Like Riskrunner as a Prime example.
-
Thunderlord >>>riskrunner at adds every day.
-
You don't need to reload Riskunner, nor do you run outta ammo so I actually disagree on that
-
You do need to reload riskrunner and you do run out of ammo. We are talking about any scenario....like using the weapons in garden of salvation....or in menagery and such. There are not always adds around that do arc damage....so thunderlord is better.
-
Noo, kills reload the weapon to full and like Crimson the ammo for thar mag is just awarded to you
-
Only if you are hit with arc damage...which is in 20% of the content in the game. So not very reliable.
