You’re seriously bringing up crota as your excuse for why D2 raids are bad? The Crota raid (while not hated) was widely regarded as not even a raid. People liked the hard mechanics of vault, kings fall, and WOTM. Sorry but people like mechanics. We have a raid in d2 that isn’t super mechanic based, it’s called eater of worlds. It’s precisely what you’ve described as a raid should be. Mechanics that are action based (cooking vex heads and using them as weapons) and surprise! It’s widely regarded as the worst raid in d2. Raids aren’t raids without hard mechanics. Raids begin to feel like strikes when they are just action packed, like the Crota raid and eater of worlds.
