Just remove elemental affinity all together it’s a terrible system. Also just unlock the damn mod socket to allow every mod. This is all you need to do then you fix armor 2.0
-
I agree. Elemental affinity mod matching is absolutely ridiculous. We got the mods, let us use em. I’m NOT going to change the affinity of my favorite gear just to match mods, I’ll just do without em. Warframe’s mod system is soooo much better. All these shards and prisms and whatever the hell else just needlessly take up inventory space. I’m beginning to wish that there were never any mods at all. Just get back to the basics. They’re making something that should be simple way over complicated!
-
Yknow the armor 2.0 system was to nerf the previous system right? They wont open it up too much because of its reason to exist.
-
That's exactly what you should NOT be able to do. There should be intentionality in the loot you have and the builds you select. You should not Willy nilly get all the mods you want unlocked. That. Trivializes. All. The. Armor. And that defeats the purpose of all the stats. You guys are being spoiled. This isn't bad at all, but instead of accepting Santa's gift, you want the entire sack he has. That's too much. How is this hard to understand? This is very common in MMOs and other games. You aren't given the kitchen sink.
-
No. You will not have game breaking God setups. Stop it.
-
No!! Because that would break the game. All you’d need is to get one perfectly rolled set of armor, then you could use it forever. We’d be back to basically cosmetic armor again. As the guy who did Loot 2.0 for Diablo 3 said: Gamers are often their own worst enemies and need to be protected from themselves. If they figure out that they can get the game’s best loot by running in a five-foot circle, they will do it. So you sometimes have to net let the player do what he wants in order to protect the experience of playing the game. Bungie is doing exactly that. What you are asking for would destroy the value of armor as a loot item to chase. What they done is a great idea that will allow your armor to stay current in the game for nine months before you are incentivized to get new armor.
-
When will you guys get it? Bungie doesn’t give two shits about your or your opinion. They are designing the game they want, even if that game is shit and the developers themselves hardly play it! They only do changes like this to calm the community down a little without sacrificing their vision for the game, again even if that game is shit and most of them don’t even play it. Just move on, let this game die and let bungie die off with it.
-
Keep the affinity, allow us to switch it for 5k glimmer, not the shit ton of mats they’re pushing for
-
5k glimmer or even 200k glimmer is fine

The ‘season before/season after’ mod thing is not going to change a thing for me. I have very well rolled Shadowkeep armour that I use on all my characters. I did not even touch anything to do with Dawn mods because I was not interested in farming rng on top of rng to find new gear. With Season 10, my good Shadowkeep armour will not be able to use the mods, so unless they are ‘gamebreakingly’(made up a word, go me!) good then once again I will not be entertaining the mods, and for every season that is the same after that. JUST LET IS USE THE ARMOUR WE WANT. Or....let us ‘upgrade’ our current armour to the current season, while keeping the stats.
-
These changes don't affect me. I don't need to grind armor sets for Seasonal Mods now. And I'm certainly not dumb enough to sink so many resources into changing affinities halfway into the year for minute advantages. Because Y4 will certainly invalidate all of it.
-
"Remove cores from Infusion" 2 confirmed
-
So it take it we can’t apply seasonal mods to any of the armour sets rewarded from base game activities such as gambit sets, forge, crucible, vanguard etc? Just previous, present and next season armour? So all armour you can get from the none disappearing content is not redundant?
-
#Bungiedoesntcare
-
And remove the only reason to grind. No thanks man.
-
If you dont like the game. Dont play it.
-
Keep affinity, but make it so you can equip all mods that need 1-2 more energy if you’re not using them in the right affinity
-
This change makes grinding additional sets of gear much easier, and essentially removes elemental affinity as a factor in RNG altogether. It's balanced to allow you to fix a good roll with a bad affinity, not to constantly reroll the same single, good masterwork over and over again. When I first heard about the change, I didn't agree with it, but the more thought I've given it, the more I understand their goal. 1) Get a good roll. 2) Decide what affinity you need. 3) Reroll the affinity. 4) Masterwork it. 5) Repeat. Rerolling the affinity on a masterwork is still entirely possible, although only for the most hardcore players overflowing with Ascendant Shards, but it should mostly just be used to fix a good roll before you ever masterwork it.

Yea and then you find 1 piece of gear from the Dungeon that is MW, or you take the +60 righteous armor from season pass, MW it, and literally never have to loot armor again. Seems like a good idea.
-
I love how they literally fixed everything wrong with Armor 2.0 and people still complain because they need to have more than 5 pieces of armor. get over yourselves.
-
Dude just be grateful they did this
-
If armor drops with no affinities and a universal mod slot, the only thing stopping most people from just running one good set of armor forever is aesthetics, and since that's down to personal opinion, the armor grind would disappear overnight. I would love to not deal with these issues too, but until Bungie comes up with other incentives to grind armor, I can't see affinities and non-universal slots getting deleted
-
Anyway still no mod sockets on exo's sucks...
-
They already said why affinities are here to stay. They gave us universal mods and now the ability to switch. Obviously they are trying to balance community needs with programming limitations.
-
Just remove elemental affinity all together it’s a terrible system. Also just unlock the damn mod socket to allow every mod. This is all you need to do then you fix armor 2.0
This and make it so you can switch the masterworks on weapons to what you want... idc if it's ungodly expensive.

Surprised they didn't add a new currently that cost 10 Ascendant Shards to do it.
