It is up to the person presenting the argument to provide proof which supports its validity. When they can't or won't it's natural to suspect they don't have any. People who might agree with you and want to learn more are disappointed. People inclined to disagree tend to dismiss your argument as unsupported or based in ignorance. None of that might matter to you. But then you have to ask yourself...why bother posting in the first place if people aren't going to respect your effort?
