I posted this a while back, seems relevant to your post so I'm going to paste it here.👇 -The game is just boring as hell now. - The game has focuses way too heavily on bounties for xp and micro transactions. I couldn't think of a more boring way to play this game. I just can't do it anymore. -Seasons. Just not a big fan. Destiny was more fun for me and many others with a the more traditional expansion format that I could play when I have the time available. Artifacts are a neat idea, but need to stay and not disappear when a new Artifact comes out. Limiting our options is just a bad idea IMO. - Raids are not fun or very creative. Nobody wants to raid anymore because they are way to mechanic heavy and people are tired of being called out for screwing up or dying (in the hardest activity in the game mind you). We want a challenge, but we also want some room for error. The days of helping random guardian are gone. D1, 2 people could die and your team could still clutch it out creating awesome moments and friendships in the process. If I could offer any advice, all I got to say is Kings Fall was a master piece of what a raid should be with The Last wish a close second. Honorable mentions, Vault of Glass, and Wrath of the Machine. - No strike specific loot. Strike specific loot needs to return, chasing random rolls (while playing the game not doing bounties) is what we loved about this game. Not having this makes the game grow stale real quick. - Lack of story or immersion. Story missions that you can replay on every planet like in D1 were awesome. You could go back at anytime to try and understand the story better, or find a good farming spot for bounties or quests without interruption. Plus the Dead ghost search was fun too,Good lore pieces. This game is missing this vital element. -No Factions. Factions were a big part of what made D1 great, especially when they introduced random rolls on weekly reset. Every Tuesday you had that giddy feeling you were going to finally find that God roll you were looking for, weather it was an armor piece or weapon, and if it was there, and you didn't have the materials to get it, you were off grinding away happily. This game is missing this vital element. - Crucible. This has been a trial and error process since D1. They will never get it right until, I hate to say it, and I am going to get alot of hate for saying it, but they need to use a Call of Duty style leveling system with weapons and perks that unlock as you rank up. This is the only way to level the playing field and bring skill back into the equation and must 100% be separate from PVE! PVE weapon stay in PVE and PVP weapons stay in PvP! They are just way overthinking it in my opinion, the game just feels all over the place and a mess right now. Hopefully the next installment of Destiny next fall will go back to a more traditional story driven game. Get back to what put this game on the map.

  • how can you complain about raids being too mechanic heavy and then call king’s fall a masterpiece? it’s one of the most mechanic-heavy raids they’ve ever released.

  • No way, KINGS FALL wasn't hard until you got to Oryx, that was our first taste a overwhelming mechaniics. My point is you could still carry people back then and they were more forgiving when you screwed up so you could recover. Today's raids a death or a screw up =wipe. On Oryx all you had to do is have the new guy or guys stand on their totems then go to middle and stand in bubble shoot ogres then stun oryx, do that 4 times then run into the 4 blights. Simple for a noob while the sherpa's handle their business.

(i can’t speak for crown of sorrow yet) obviously if you die doing something important, that’s going to have consequences and may result in a wipe. that’s a natural result of what makes raids tense and satisfying when you fulfill your role

  • You had me until KF reference... agreed that Raiding back then was fun, but that raid had a shyt ton of mechanics. Esoecially the challenge versions... Warpriest.. calling out the order..Golgy.. that was fun if 1 person didn't grab his gaze..No one could die on the totems at Oryx, needed a good runner, dropping ogres at the right spot so u could detonate without killing yourself... point is, mechanics were a major factor and it took PATIENCE... and imo that's what's been lost over the last few years with Guardians. We want instant gratification and we shyt on one another to get it.

  • Alot of people didn't like kings fall, but alot more did. Yes the mechanics were difficult to learn at first but my point is there was always a place to put the new guy. -At the totems just running back and forth and killing a knight wasn't an issue. -War priest was just stand here kill enemies DPS here. Easy carry for one or two and could finish with one or two dead. -The ogre was easy to carry a couple people same thing stand here kill enemies DPS here and you could still finish with a couple dead. Th Daughters was our first experience with not being able to choose who does what and took timing and spot on communication. Many struggled with this. Oryx was same complicated mechanics, but you could carry 1 or 2 and could recover with deaths. What I'm saying is a raid can be difficult, and forgiving at the same time. The raids today, a death usually means a wipe and the reason nobody wants to deal with noobs or carries. I was a shurpa in D1 and constantly found like minded people willing to help. Today the tables have turned, my clan quit Destiny a while back (soon after D2 launched) and now I am the random needing help and all I seem to run into are elitist ass wipes with no patience.

  • I was a Sherpa and still am a Sherpa and nothing has changed. You need the full team for totems daughter and oryx btw so that was false. The only difference is you’re on the receiving End

  • I was on teams that saved all 3 of those encounters with members down. So again you are totally missing my point!

  • By that point you can “save” any raid encounter in d2 as well. Like always death just isn’t what anyone wants to see.

  • Yes people are going to argue with a false statement. Maybe if you just asked to be taught you’d get a team to teach. But if you just make claims that make no sense and that devalue, you will get repercussions.

  • Lmao “2 down and you could still clutch it” yet praises KF. he is definitely forget totems daughters and oryx himself you literally need all the players for those encounters. Hilarious.
