I hope this isn't true.

I'm hoping this has an innocent explanation cus this got me feeling a certain way. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pa6bC1mO8ck Edit 1: wasn't expecting this post to get past 10 upvotes... Didn't know this many people feel the same way. Edit 2: hey bungie please add editing shaders, shaders on exotic weapons and let us make are own armor ornaments from are collections. Edit 3: this post will not get a response from bungie for 2 reasons 1 if they read the comments they will be to uncomfortable to respond and 2 cus I made it and they like ignoring me even tho this is the 5th time iv got a post past 100 upvotes I'm not the only one that wants this stuff worked on. Edit 4: guess this is as far as this post goes nice try guys but looks like these forums are only for kiss asses if you have any problems with the game just save your money instead of wasting it and more importantly save your time bro this game ain't worth it we will never get what we want because they are not listening to "us" thank you to the 400 plus that tried.

  • Isn’t this the story of present day bungie, reselling us old content we previously owned from the last game? It’s why I don’t like to see “bring back <insert gear> “ posts, it just encourages this sort of practice.

    • Every company exists to make money, but at some point your greed can become so apparent that it just turns people off to what you're selling. Bungie is there for me. The Whisper skin was one thing, I was behind supporting a skin for a gun with that kind of quest development. What's going on now, a pop up advertisement for a skin that goes with a gun they just dropped some dead robots in a PvP zone and added a few minutes of dialogue to. That's just not something I'm behind. To each their own though, it's your money to spend.

Bungie seem to be very anti consumer. Its like slapping a customer in the face for buying something and asking to pay more lol

        • As much of an a**hole Bungie is for doing this. I honestly knew and expected Bungie to do this. Why? Because it promotes giving more money through Eververse.

        • Its a grind game that now just resets everything. Rinse repeat. Its why people who enjoyed the grind for the rewards have lost interest.

        • this game is totally a garbage crucible and PvE is 200% trash they don't even respond to the feedback i don't even play it anymore i play one game crucible and for sure all of them are sweating because of the stupid decision that brought SBMM. just try to find another game to play. destiny is not fun to play anymore and believe me, even in their next patch they didn't do anything regarding any feedback that the community mentioned. • Hey, Bungie, over here. Lean in really close so you can hear me, cause I'm only gonna say this once. So many of your dedicated players want to look good while blowing aliens (or each other) to pieces. We've been wanting a transmog system for years now, and I certainly was excited to hear about universal ornaments with armor 2.0. But you only went part of the way, and stopped cold. You could have gone all the way and allowed any piece of armor that we have earned at one point in the game become a universal ornament, but you didn't and we know why (trickle-feed). That is a mistake. Take World of Warcraft in comparison. When they introduced a transmog system where you could literally change the look of any armor or weapon with something you had already obtained, it was a great boon for players. Myself and countless others ran old raids/dungeons/PvP to complete sets or get that certain weapon to complete the look we wanted. There were few restrictions to this system and it made the game even more fun to play because there were reasons to chase after loot from older content. Now here we are in Destiny 2. I want you guys to think about this really hard for a while: if you think that players like me are going to grind out a new set of armor when you consider the RNG layering of drops, stats, and elemental affinity (plus whatever season mod slot it has) when I already am wearing gear with BETTER stats/elemental affinity AND is masterworked, you guys are out of your freakn' gourds! Do you guys REALLY think you are going to keep this game alive by drip-feeding the players with multi-layered RNG drops that cannot ever be universal ornaments (or by limiting certain ornaments to only fit on specific armor)? Do you think your players are INSANE?! All I want to do is to play the game and look good doing it. I want to play MY way. Remember that statement, Luke? Opening up universal ornaments like they did with WoW does not mean that players will not continue to chase better gear. With so many possibilities in stat rolls and elemental affinity (some would argue that we have too many RNG layers and I don't disagree, but for this discussion, let's assume armor continues with the current drop/roll system), there will ALWAYS be the chase for something better than what we have. The thought of your drip-feed strategy only pisses me off and gives me even LESS DESIRE to to play this game. Who wants to play a game that doesn't allow the freedom to look or play the way he or she wants? I SURE AS HELL DON'T!

Kinda funny that ornaments and not needing to farm armor any longer because 2.0 would let you do anything, were some of the highlights that was supposed to be becoming of Bungie/Activision split and SK. "You can use any ornament from any past armors you accumulated...you can look however you want" ... "Farming armor is over, 2.0 is going to let you have unlimited builds." Remember the Bungie White Knights on these forums touting all these these improvements for the game and players. HERE WE ARE... Ornaments are very limited and the Armor grind is 20x fold compared to.

            • Yeah, idk what people expect at this point? Like obviously Bungie can make every armor-set an ornament, they just choose not to. It's not arcane space-magic, in contrast to the Traveler and the Darkness, you don't need to study this crap for centuries in order to get what it's all about: If they DID make raid-armor into ornaments, yeah sure the game would feel more rewarding, but they'd sell less Eververse stuff. It's always been that simple. The game becomes less and less fun as Bungie tries to get away with more and more ruinous monetization.

              • When they announced that bungie and activision split, bungie cheered. Not because they finally had freedom from an oppresser, but because activision was holding bungle to a higher standard

                  • Of course it's TRUE! Bungie has become an unbelievably greedy company. Let's look at Everworse costs for those without a pile of bright dust. Over $200 for all the FOTL stuff Just under $200 for the Dawning Probably around $150 per season on seasonal stuff. Probably at least $150 on the upcoming doubles event. Let's say $300 for unannounced events. That's a conservative $1,450 on stuff we got free by just playing and earning engrams last year. So how about this, drop your prices by about 50% on eververse stuff and you will end up selling us closer to $700+ worth of stuff per year. You know a "reasonable" amount of money to spend on a game per year. This does not include the $65 we spent on your season passes and expansion.

                    • Yeah, it's been obvious they don't give us ornaments or transmog on purpose to push Eververse. Eververse is poision, killing this game. Armor 2.0 was a big middle finger to everyone asking for transmog.

                      • I remember reading about this game being created that was supposed to be an entire universe for us to explore and go beat the bad guys. The pictures in the article showed a soldier walking in a desert past an enormous ruined building from the past. I can still picture it because it was so inspiring.A couple years later the game released and I started playing Destiny late year 1 and made friends that I still play with today. We dont play Destiny anymore because its a mrx -blam!-fest with barely any content. You put the wrong asshole in charge, Bungie. Cetch you on the flipside. It was great back in the day.

It's even worse that they confirmed on a Reddit post that they have no plans on making the Solstice of Heroes into Universal Ornaments, at least not until after this entire Season Pass (late Summer) is done. Most likely they will sell it to us on the Eververse, or we will have to reaquire the same armor set via quests again, but as an Armor 2.5 with higher, pinnacle stat pool. Eververse currently takes up about 3/4 of their focus now. It prints them money, and they're milking it dry.

                              • The fix was on when they blew up our vault...the beginning of the end...the end of the journey to become legend. It really is that simple...that pivotal moment...that sad beaten moment when you see a runner give up. Looking back on the first three years...it was amazing...it was a beautiful dream Bungie had. I’m glad to have been there 😎. I still love you Bungie for the good times. I will always love the dream of Destiny.
