I think there won't be any update to old weapons and armor from the vanilla game or the other dlcs, because the money is in the seasons, there won't be a free update at all the way it looks, they would of done it by now in previous season. I don't see any update to old content coming, because new content in a money maker and old content is not. I talking about vendor weapons and armor, old armor sets not part of vendors.

there was a free update this season man. They're bringing back more stuff. The gunsmith weapons that got updated aren't exclusive to the season or season pass owners. My friend who doesn't even own Shadowkeep got the new Old Fashioned yesterday. All events are free so anything brought back with an event is free and open to all. By the way all Y1 armor thats still attainable was updated when Shadowkeep dropped so as it stands the only stuff not 2.0 is Trials, Factions, and Ikora's gear from the meditations. So you're kind of wrong buddy. They have been updating stuff for free and continue to do so.

no buddy, you are wrong. They did not do that for free. This is not a fully free-to-play for everyone but only new light players. I have paid for the based game and all expansions. Bringing old guns that I still have in my vault is not updating the game nor bringing in content. Good luck grinding the same armor for the 3rd time and thinking it is a free event

You're missing the point. You do not have to buy anything to get that gear to drop. If you dont have to pay for the update upfront in that moment it is free to you. Thats like saying you have to pay for access to Solstice even though you already did by buying the game. You didn't have to buy Shadowkeep to get 2.0. See my point?

I get your point but you are missing mine. No veteran player will commit its time for armor 2.0 only or whatever fancy thing they throw at you. The free base of the game means nothing to existing players. Technically, I might not have to pay to get armor 2.0 but the updates without new content does not mean anything considering the pace we get these updates and a veteran player is already played all of the base content of New Light.

At their Year 1 sources. You can get all of them from destination vendors and Cryptarch engrams.

i think those drop at 750. which means you have to use the more expensive "upgrade" currency to up their light level.

Yes they do but thats not a big deal. And upgrade modules are far from expensive

i didn't say they were expensive, i said they were the more expensive upgrade currency. It's not like the upgrade for 1000 glimmer is it?
