Yup they were exactly that.
-
Absolutely. I said it then when they first announced them, like man...this is a terrible idea lol.
-
And they're not gunna remove pinnacle perks because the community would lose their shit
-
yup, bungo just never learns. this goes back to ghorn/black spindle days, they keep doing the same thing over and over.
-
The thing is, pinnacles shouldn‘t be usable at all in crucible. Crucible pinnacles turned out to be the best pve guns... I think that pinnacle guns should be meant to grant strong guns for pve encouraging playing other activities than pve to get them.
-
Crazy how the best weapons were crucible pinnacle guns.

Edited by Talia Sendua: 12/10/2019 1:28:03 PMThat‘s why they should be pve exclusive... Wouldn‘t break the pvp balance and people couldn‘t call for nerfs... Maybe even put a limit on the usage then... Only 1 pinnacle gun equipped at the time like exotics so the usage wouldn‘t be broken in pve too.
-
People will call for pve nerfs still. YouTubers do it all the time and with good results sadly.
-
Let us look from it from bungies perspective. As a developer, you have to change gun strength sometimes to keep the game fresh. Imagine the problem with Halo 4 and 5... Why the hell would you use the storm rifle after unlocking the DMR/Combat Rifle/Alliance rifle (in warzone)? It would put you only on a disadvantage there... While in Destiny buffs and nerfs make people use different guns.
-
That may be true but in the standpoint of PVP with destiny disabling pinnacles doesn't fix that skill still is a factor and things are unfair. We can argue these points in circles but that fact still stands that nothing will change. People will cry and complain about everything. Destiny has one of these worse crybaby toxic communities out there on par with games like league. No one wants to get better and they think they are better than they are. I'm average I would say and do try to improve. I do feel heavy outliers exist in all skill ranges recluse, and mountaintop mainly on PC. And those should be addressed. Then you have erentil and other high impacts with firmly planted or back up plan both major issues. But this fusions are a way heavier issue on console then PC. And as of right now those things arnt balanced separately. So arguing pinnacles shouldn't be in comp is dumb. Considering only massive op ones were nf/Luna's , recluse, and mountaintop on PC. So what you are arguing has zero relevance.
-
So what you are arguing has zero relevance.
That, my friend, is not your decision. We don‘t know, what will happen until it happens. And I didn‘t said „pinnacles should be locked out from comp“. I said „Pinnacles shouldn‘t be usable in pvp at all and should only guns for pve“.
-
And I disagree. Considering it sounds like you are crying because very few are good in PVP at all. So yeah you speal on bungie and what not had no relevance to anything out side of shallow bolstering of you argument at best. But we can agree to disagree. Have a good day.
-
I don‘t do anything than just telling what I‘m thinking. I‘m not saying „this should be ingame like that“. I‘m not a game designer. Just someone saying clearly what I dislike.
-
Pvp in this game literally is a premise of taking guns from where ever you get them and use them. I can respect your opinion and choose to voice I disagree with it. That is all. Only two PVP weapons were broken in pve mountain top which lost alot of it's use thanks to Lunafaction and rally change. Izanagis now replaces the spot it holds. The other being recluse and specifically master of arms being busted in the way it works letting you crit shields effectively. Shouldn't have been a thing to begin with but most other pinnacles were meh at best for a long time. Up till they nerfed damage perks. So its like I said I disagree with you 100 percent and was discussing my thoughts to yours. That is all. But unlike most at least the convo didn't devolve into mediocre insults or anything. So I'll wish you a great day and hopefully Dawn brings us something we can enjoy.

You too. See you in the wilds, guardian.
