Ritual weapons are worse than pinnacle weapons so why do they take as long if not longer to get?

1 ReplyIt took me longer to get the ritual weapons lol
-
15 RepliesPinnacle weapons were a mistake

14 RepliesDude, I still don't have Randy's. Granted, I don't want to use a scout rifle to finish my scout kills. But I got to 18% and stopped. It wasn't fun, and the gun, despite being good, lacks anything to get me to want it.
-
8 RepliesThe real question is why they decided that Edgewise should be the same archetype as 21% Delirium.
-
My „Randy‘s throwing knife“ disagrees with you. Best scout rifle for pvp and better than almost all exotic scout rifles.
-
Thanks for the heads up. Won't go for them.
-
7 RepliesI agree. Way too long and grindy for (the most part) some plain ass weapons.
-
11 RepliesIt literally takes 2 hours 😂
-
3 RepliesMy least favorite weapon and one that I think is awful and nobody uses, The Hush bow.
-
They’re the same thing just rebranded Just like 0 power level is now called 750
-
Tbh, Randy's was the only one that felt like a legitimate pinnacle grind. Edgewise could be abused by loading up a nightfall that starts a patrol zone, and Exit Strategy was far less grindy than Breakneck or Hush.

10 RepliesEdited by Angelus-B-: 12/9/2019 2:53:26 AMBecause Bungie has to find a way to boost playing time somehow, grinding for shit is all they know.
-
1 ReplyThis is why they should just continue to make pinnacle weapons and just make them an exotic instead if their potential is going to be so high. I mean there’s plenty of exotic quests that are less of a grind than the rituals 😆

Edited by Bore: 12/9/2019 4:37:15 PM
Ritual weapons are worse than pinnacle weapons so why do they take as long if not longer to get?
Hush vs exit strategy Wendigo vs Edgewise The only one that you could say takes longer is revoker vs Randy’s but that depends on the player. Also majority of pvp pinnacles took longer than Randy’s.

Edited by InfernalDegree0: 12/9/2019 8:00:48 PMWith the exception of Randy's Throwing Knife, the new weapons did not take longer than other pinnacle weapons from the past. You might be forgetting: 1. 250 handcannon kills and 200 solar kills in comp for Luna's Howl (character based) 2. 200 double kills with grenade launchers for Mountaintop 3. 40 gambit games for Breakneck (character based) 4. 40 strike completions for Loaded Question (character based) 5. 1500+ grenade launcher final blows for Wendigo (the "+" being that you needed more to get more points) 6. 1000 bow kills for Hush (not even including all of the medals) The only reason Randy's Throwing Knife is even an exception is because most people do not like using scout rifles in PVP. And I would argue that they are not worse. Edgewise fills the gap for 900 RPM solar machine gun which is very useful for activities with a lot of solar shields. Randy's Throwing Knife is the only 260 RPM kinetic scout rifle (which I suspect will be very useful next season). Exit Strategy is... okay, you win on that one...

2 RepliesI got recluse and revoker in 1-2 days It took me a month to get Randy’s lol
-
8 RepliesThere is no difference between ritual or pinnacle weapons all they really did was just change the name.
-
Because the amount of hours you log is the thing Bungie is tracking. Whether or not something is fun is irrelevant. They just need X amount of bodies to make up Y amount of hours. Fun isn't the goal, customers are. If the game tried to be a good game start to finish? They'd have all the customers they could ask for, ironically.

2 RepliesMy 15 year old got Randy's throwing knife in 4 hrs of game play.
-
Just wait for how long the next one takes.......
-
What’s the difference?
-
Edited by holydracoeva: 12/10/2019 2:00:12 PMCause bungie went from 1-100 with nothing in between when forsaken launched.
-
Probably cause everyone complained that there wasn't a grind in Y1 and since then bungie has kicked it up to an absurd level.
-
Because people will still do them and anyone who complains just gets told to "shut up and get good" by bungie's ardent defenders. Because bungie could make a gun that was literally no different from a random legendary pickup, and require you to get a million screeb headshots to get it, and people would still grind it out, say it's good content and worth the grind, then take to the internet to detract anyone who thinks it's not.
-
3 RepliesYeah i grinded out both Mountaintop and Luna's before i finished the "kills and medals" objective for Randy's. Definitely hoping that gets adjusted next season. Finally unlocked Randy's yesterday just by jumping in Momentum Control to finish off the Scout kills needed.

It's funny. They were supposed to be less of a grind to get. Bungie specifically said they'd be easier to make up for not being as good. If anything, they're more of a grind. I stopped bothering after the I got the LMG and stuffed it directly in the vault. It's basically 21% Delirium without killing tally and overflow, which are what makes Delirium worth using.
