A: how the internet actually works. Routing, DNS or isp traffic
B: that not all data for any given company comes from the same data center. So while the web site might be working doesnt mean the other products provided by that company is work. I.E servers bc those are in a completely different data center normally..so while you may have been able to play other games, its bc the switch route and dns for that data center was
A: rerouted
B: not affected by the outage for whatever component wasn't working..
