Nope. Like the rest of the vex final assault it's half baked. While actually doing the vex assault game mode, the final boss has been replaced with the undying mind which you spawn by summoning the portal to the gate. It is also a tad bit easier than the previous boss. They literally took that whole month and did the amount of work a amateur modder could do with with a dragon in the creation kit for Skyrim in a matter if a day or two. Take a enemy from the game, make it bigger, change the color, add more health to it and replace a preexisting enemy with it. Now quickly noting that unlike modders with the creation kit, Bungie has nonrestrictive access, and is working with their own system. I bet you it took longer for the update to get approved for distribution, than it did to actually make it. And approval takes not time at all.

 • If rumours are to believed, it probably took Bungie longer to actually load up their development kit than it did to copy/paste a generic Vex Mind into the game as a "new boss"... then of course we have to take into account all the finger-crossing and sacrifices of goats to the Engine-God's just to get the damn engine to accept the change 😂😂😂 Never heard of a supposed AAA development team being so bad at maintaining their own engine before...

 • What's really bad is the fact the game engine used for both destiny games, is the same that is like a generation 2-2.5 of the tiger engine used in Halo 1 through Reach. So why parts of the engine might have been changed (especially parts of the graphics engine, which is at it's base is also still the same), it's still very familiar territory to them. The problems I think come from the fact that they're using the ground work of an 18 year old game engine, that has been time and time again altered and "improved" upon, with new methods and techniques of programing, design, rendering, etc., made within the last decade that I'm not entirely convinced are all completely compatible. They then take their Frankensteined hybrid dedicated cloud server bs that has also been altered and "improved" at least once and try to make that work with. It's a bunch of old stuff mushed together with a bunch of new stuff, and held together with spaghetti code, and chewing gum, and topped off with half baked garbage.
