Lol, apparently we teleport the portal to the last stage of vex offensive and the undying mind pops out of it. Then I guess we teleport it back to the tower? Idk, bungie logic.

5 RepliesHonestly it would be to our benefit if the Vex invaded and slaughtered everyone at the tower. At least we would get a vendor refresh. Everyone would be dead so new stuff to get!

3 RepliesNope. Like the rest of the vex final assault it's half baked. While actually doing the vex assault game mode, the final boss has been replaced with the undying mind which you spawn by summoning the portal to the gate. It is also a tad bit easier than the previous boss. They literally took that whole month and did the amount of work a amateur modder could do with with a dragon in the creation kit for Skyrim in a matter if a day or two. Take a enemy from the game, make it bigger, change the color, add more health to it and replace a preexisting enemy with it. Now quickly noting that unlike modders with the creation kit, Bungie has nonrestrictive access, and is working with their own system. I bet you it took longer for the update to get approved for distribution, than it did to actually make it. And approval takes not time at all.

They had to explain it in the TWAB lol, Bungie messed up big time with that. APPARENTLY we go to the Garden and TRANSMAT the portal made in the tower to attach to the EXISTING portal in the Vex Offensive area. Then THAT summons the Undying Mind.

Vex portal is there so when they give us Destiny 3 they have a way to destroy the tower again and make us start all over collecting reskinned gear a third time.

Build up hype for something exciting only to have it fall well short of anything remotely resembling what they led you to believe, and then act like it’s your fault that you’re disappointed, as you shouldn’t have gotten your hopes up so high in the first place. Pathetic.

1 ReplyYeah, it was disappointing to me too. Major ball drop with this one, as is obvious from the forum reaction. And yes, it’s even funnier that the Final Assault has started and the workers are still welding away at the thing. I honestly have to wonder if Bungie is even trying anymore.

I haven't even logged in this week. When I heard what happened I just shook my head. I guess I will get it done before IB hits, but only to finish out this season garbage. What a huge disappointment to say the least.
