I wish you could have played D1. You would know what great strike are.

Like the Sepiks raid?

You potato

I was in the top 2% time played in D1 on Xbox One and top 5% on PS4. I know my way around D1 strikes pretty well. 😉
-
Most d1 strikes are pretty bad with a few exceptions. You guys claiming how godly they were are going purely off of nostalgia.
-
There are only like 3 good D1 strikes lol

Imagine looking at your player track record and talking about D1 kid. Go back to kindergarten, you shouldn’t miss that on your way to Walmart.
-
what's wrong with Walmart bro
-
The only strike I actually sorta miss is Devil’s Lair.
-
The IO strike is better than a lot of strikes in D1
-
Only good D2 strikes I can think of are inverted spire and the one with the flame turret cabal guy
-
The only really good Strikes in D1 were Shield Brothers, Sunless Cell, Fallen SABER, Sepiks Perfected and Shadow Thief. Other than those, the rest were either very annoying (Echo Chamber, revamped Winter's Run, Wretched Eye and Will of Crota), bullet sponge boss fights (Rockets McDickface, original Winter's Run, Summoning Pits, old and new Nexus) or just not that interesting (Blighted Chalice, Undying MInd and Dust Palace). Destiny 2 has at least done away with the bullet sponges in favour of more dynamic fights, though strikes are still hit-or-miss. Ones like Inverted Spire, Hollowed Lair, The Corrupted Festering Core, Pyramidion and Tree of Probabilities are pretty good. Meanwhile, Arms Dealer, Strange Terrain, Broodhold, Lake of Shadows, Will of the Thousands and Garden World are either boring to play through or have a disappointing boss fight.
-
Wretched eye....blam that strike. I do agree on missing D1 strikes though. There were some good ones. 😊
-
The handful you mentioned are all much more fun than the D2 strikes. Like I personally don’t get the hype about the Corrupted strike. I find it boring. Yeah Dust Palace wasn’t great, but even Undying Mind I enjoyed more than any of the D2 strikes.
-
The Corrupted strike seems to last forever... I absolutely loathe it.
-
I kinda agree on this. I mean it looks really good, but it feels long and just annoying ar best. I still need to farm for horrors least. 😖
-
Yeah I never got the hype on that one
-
I always preferred the bullet sponge bosses. The Fanatic is cancer, and the Exodus Crash boss used to be just as bad. Hollowed Lair is almost twice as long when speedrunning as any other strike just because of how long the boss encounter is. And it’s not even challenging, just mindless.
-
Just remember, melting bosses is no fun. That's why we have crap like Hallowed Lair and we've been neutered once again!!!
-
Wow. Nostalgia is nice and all but it really blinds a lot of you lol.
-
Not blind at all buddy. Some of us know quality and have a tendency to miss it when it's gone.
-
Oh you mean Wretched Eye. Nah im just playing. D1 did had some great strikes though. One of the reasons was because you couldnt kill strike bosses off spawn with ease
-
I miss fighting sepiks, I miss the difficulty of killing Fallen Walkers, I miss sitting around in Old Russia Cosmodrome waiting for Fallen Walkers to spawn. I'm tempted to rebuy destiny 1 just so I can experience rise of iron, I was on legacy and only got up to Taken King.
-
If you’re PS4 I’ll be happy to help. Rise of iron was a nice cherry on D1, the raid was original and the boss fight allowed us to have fun with abilities whilst providing great friendship moments. Something Bungie totally lost. We often call Apple what it is bc of Jobs, well then this reasoning can be applied to every corporation. Bungie lost its stars, now it’s just wandering in reskined space.
