There's a lot of people hating on you guys right now. I honestly don't get it. I had 660 Crucible matches last season. 300 of those were in Competitive and most of them were solo until I realize I would never get to Fabled by myself. I finally made it. Throughout that journey, I got better. A lot better. I went in to Solo Survival and in less than 20 matches, hit Fabled. As a player who had to grind for weeks... months...to reach this goal last season, I definitely have noticed not just a HUGE change in MY ability, but in everything about the way Competitive (or now Survival) is. And it's for the better. Thank you for that.
I genuinely believe that the people that -blam!- all the time are quite simply just...bad. I feel I have a right to say that because I was one of them.

I'm in your boat; 1.0 k/d though I have 1K+ wins in competitive from last season and 80+ in this new season. I have solo'd fabled 3 times now and in this new season I jumped up to 4900. Since the update I've gone down to ~3500 (with many breaks and over a period of a week or so) I lose so many games since the update due to 2v3's and miss balanced lobbies. I'm not sure how they updated it but I've barely won a game since the update and the few I have won hasn't made much of a impact since only a handful have been in a streak. I'm glad you had a good experience but your experience is not the majority. In my opinion I've seen/heard nothing but negativity towards this new update because it is obviously "not working as intended".

The other time I played about 5 games at the end with another player because I didn’t believe I could do it alone (now I do) and I appreciated being able to talk to at least one other player during the games. It also helped with my anxiety about winning to have someone else “on my side”. I like the matchmaking this season, but I really just started playing comp more often lately. I am really glad there is a freelance queue and it seems like a lot of players are using it and enjoying it contrary to what so many players on the forums predicted. They were probably just hating on the idea because they do recovs and crutch on their teams help when they should be able to do it easier this season than ever before.

People aren't complaining about the experience to fabled...it's after that. If you can't hit fabled this season, you should probably just give up.
-
What ever. I went from 3900 to 3600 and I was at the top of the leaderboard every time and we lost. Only matchmaking can pair up such bad teams
-
Oh man I hit fabled just easy this season. To the point where I'm grinding up to legend. At mystic 3 1/2. Just burnt myself out from IB so I'ma take a pvp break lol. The new system is like their handling all the pinnacle weapons out for free now lmao. So many recluses up in IB now.

My feedback is overall very positive as well. Currently the penalty for losing is very small as long as your k/d is positive and the reward for winning is huge. I was able to grind to fabled yesterday from brave 2. In the past it was back and forth for weeks just to make heroic. (Hit 2100 for the first time in the new 3 v 3 so I am a bit bias 😂)

Cool, free recluse, take advantage before the nerf comes. I am very average but went on a 6 win streak due to favorable matchups. I dropped a match or two early and could swear I lost a small amount of glory but....I've been wrong before
-
Also if you lose points you never drop ranks until fabled
-
You dont lose points until fabled fyi.
-
Yes, you do lose points. It’s the rank that doesn’t drop, not the points.
-
Really? So let's say you're at 2100 and you lose a game with no streak you lose points but stay fabled? Doesn't make sense.
-
Edited by Gizmo, Adept: 10/29/2019 7:30:26 PMYeah that’s how it works, but only with fabled 1. You can drop below fabled 2 and 3 but not below fabled 1.

Pretty much lol. You didn't lose glory tho under 2100 it's super easy to hit fabled solo this season it's the experience to legend which is frustrating with the match ups. It was fine until the fix
-
As your resident "average pvp guy" agreed, fabled is easy mode now. Maybe I can get some ringers from my clan to carry me to legend 😂. Thanks for the reply bro.
-
Hey who knows you might carry them gl.

But isn't that just the point. If someone is JUST BAD. Put them up again other players who have the same skill level and not some meta hound sweat god who is going to stomp them

Probably just an average player tbh. Also there probably isnt enough people their skills.
