It’s essentially the same infusion process with the added step of going to the gunsmith before infusing. On top of that they made a ludicrous exchange rate for the new master working materials.
It really blows my mind how out of touch the people making decisions at bungie are.

Is the fact that Bungie is out of touch really surprising anymore? They've pretty consistently demonstrated both incompetence and a lack of respect for players for years.

It’s also cheaper and makes all armor take the same, instead of requiring different materials.
