Someone will have to be at least 100 levels higher than you to make any noticeable difference. https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/47270
-
I'd say it'll disable any further advantage after the normal cap
-
Either disable the artifacts....or back-end load the power level curve. IOW, power level differences only have a significant effect on the outcome of fits if they're very large.
-
There will be exactly 0.04% difference between players, regardless of level differences.
-
well... Guardians will enter, guardians will have unlimited power no one will win more Guardians will enter Guardians will battle unlimitedly eventually when the server can't handle millions of guardians with Unlimited Power it will explode, banning us all from the game and the irony will be unlimited
-
First one to over 9000 wins
-
It'll probably be capped at 950 or 960. Anything higher won't be accounted
-
Personally hope it works the way it sounds like it should. If you put in the work to get +100 levels over everyone else you should get a couple of weeks of god mode in PvP
-
Remember they launched D2 with no power level advantage!
-
We'll have to see I guess
-
"Unlimited." "Max" level will probably be basically asymptotic with a "reasonable" soft cap number.
-
Iron banner power will be determined by your eververse account balance. Maybe?
-
It'll likely disregard the artifact light bonus and instead use your gears average.
-
Cave trolls who play 18 hours a day will have the advantage. Bungie wants this, they're trying to find ways to make the people who live only for this game feel like they have earned something extra.
-
It will work exactly how it sounds lmao. If someone is a higher light lvl then u then they do more damage. Whats to be curious about? Pvp lvls ENABLED
-
Personally I think they should just remove the power level bonus from IB. It would make the game play a whole lot more friendly to new and returning players, as well as keep that bonus from getting ridiculously out of hand from players that can invest more time.
-
Poorly
-
Probably gonna be capped at the non relic power cap(so 950). Not gonna be a real issue.
-
Realistically it's not going to be unlimited, as it's probably going to be harder to get levels as you go farther on. My guess is that people are only really gonna be getting 20-40 above max, and though that will effect combat in IB it won't be until the end of the season and it won't be by all that much. Though, this is just a guess.
-
Anything past 950 most likely wont count
-
Higher power players make lower power players go bye bye quick. Lower power player make higher power player go bye bye slower. That how. Me smart ....
-
That is a seriously good question. Any reply from Bungie? Perhaps IB will have a max lvl cap or possibly change so that lvl doesn’t matter making IB just like regular crucible.
-
More then likely, with skill based matchmaking in effect, it may also take your power level when it puts the equation in of who you play with. The result, players with a significantly powerful artifact will also deal with longer loading times into games, significantly less people they can play with, and sweatier games. It probably will almost never match the person with someone who’s power level is at least 70 under their power level, unless there really is no one else. The price for power I suppose.
-
They will probably put a cap on the amount of extra damage you can do.
-
It's going to work the same, higher power has a scaling advantage up to a maximum advtange at a certain power difference, which works the same as it does in pve. They aren't changing how Iron Banner works, nor should they. IB exists to be the pvp mode where your power level matters. That's literally its purpose. The whole reason it exists. It's not about Saladin, or armor sets and guns, or quests, or whatever else. It's about having a PVP mode where pve stats matter because a notable amount of people want that. Anyone who doesn't want that, can simply just not partake, and stay in normal crucible.
kinda curious.
They may just take away the light level advantage. Or, they may also create brackets (ie. Every 10 levels you do 'x' more damage)
