Personally hope it works the way it sounds like it should. If you put in the work to get +100 levels over everyone else you should get a couple of weeks of god mode in PvP

Kind of happened in the past. I remember a D1 year 1 iron banner where if you were max level about 80% of other players were one shot to the body with a longbow sniper. Honestly this is the way iron banner should be, make it something that motivates grinding for a real competitive advantage.

People did and it was glorious. It felt great to kill a guardian that was way stronger than you in those days, and matches were quick enough that you didn’t feel like you were suffering through a slaughter fest.
