I can see people needing a certain type of element and not getting it.
Dude. Dude. Calm your hate boner for two seconds and actually think. There are THREE, count them, THREE elements. Your odds of getting any single element is 33% and change. Now compared that to the current odds of getting the EXACT roll of perks that someone wants on a piece of armor. <1% on any given drop? The armor 2.0 system will be light years better than what we have now, and anyone complaining is just looking for a reason to be angry.

Where I’m not concerned seeing you can control your element drop in Menagerie. Don’t think that the drop rate on all 3 elements will be equal in the wild. I’m not sure how the new mods are linked to solar but my solstice set is solar now so probably will be solar October 1st. Either way my favorite armor is the EP set so I’m in for a grind. That I don’t mind at all.

  • Yeah for real these people won’t be satisfied till they can walk to the postmaster and pick out what ever they want when they want

  • There's still the six stats to account for though. Now, what are the odds of an Arc armor drop with High Discipline? (for example) it becomes a 1/18 chance on just that alone. And a 1/20 chance for 1K has proven rather bad for some people

  • About 6% then. Still better than the current system. At least this will, in theory, make all activities more populated. Including EP.

  • You still need the mods for each armor type. What is the chance of you getting the mod you want?

You only need to get the mod ONCE! After enough play you’ll have all the mods you need. Edit: especially since it was mentioned that the gunsmith will sell a bunch of the mods. Just show up every day for the first couple weeks and you’ll be set.

  • Yea but what if you have bad rng, and that mod never drops. Are you going to go without the scavenger perk into pvp to get demolished? No thanks.

  • There are general default mods you get automatically on launch. Meaning no you wouldn’t be stuck without scavenger perks.

  • Wait for the gunsmith to sell it.

  • They already said some mods will be locked behind pinnacle activites. Ive stopped doing pinnacle activites because they've lost their fun and the gear is no different then any other. Armor 2.0 is gonna highlight that even more. All armor is essentially a blank slate that you put mods into. Why go do the raid when I can functionally get same gear from a strike?

  • Idk have you seen the new raid armor already? Lol

  • Aesthetics? Plus there is quite the difference between a general reload perk and an enhanced perk according to testing. Won't make IB any less fun anyway.

  • I think the function of these pinnacle mods is like D1 armor perks for raids. Or stuff like taken or hive armaments. Stuff that only works for the pinnacle activities. Example is the opulence mods that only work on the leviathan.

  • So gunsmith sells 2 mods a week. So if I need a specific mod, I would have to wait years for just the mod I want if you look at it from current game design.

  • 2 mods daily, dude. A couple weeks in and as long as you check in once a day you’ll have most of the non-enhanced mods.

  • Dude did you see how many mods there are and chances of duplication. That means you would have to login each day just to check, that would be annoying. I want to play a game not a job.

You can check vendor stocks on the app, then only log in when he has something you need. Like I said, people complaining are looking for something to be angry about.
